It depends. If you spend your time running around shooting toilets, im sure you're not "clan material"

Trapt, you are certainly someone that I will be considering. I've played with you during some of Rabid's petrol playtests, and you're pretty good ;)

Yep, that could be the clan tag, but its hard to do anything clan-oriented without a server. We could have the TWHL regulars or members join a Pass-Protected server and pick the best out of the group for the clan.

Ok, I added more cubemaps, which like I earlier stated made the area in which the box problem was ocurring smaller, and I eventually changed the terrain around the water from a reflective concrete, to a grass, and that solved the problem, but now, another problem has arose, heres a screen:

actually, ant told me to do that, and it made no difference. I was running the entire map off of 1 cubemap, so i added about 10 more in some specific locations and that seemed to help. The problem is still occuring, but on a much lower scale.

sorry for the triple post : but although it may seem fine, it is refecting the crane that is offscreen, its not properly reflecting anything.

I think it may have to do with my cubemaps becuase it is not rendering the appropriate skybox reflection, yet a reflection of the level. I can get a screen real quick. I was not having this problem until i added a whole new section which doubles this size of the map. There isn't a cubemap in the new area, could that be a contributing factor?

A factor that may be causing this is the size of the map. It meets all borders :

IMO, they are merely alien creatures that have been infused with combine technology. The combine seen to have a tendency of indfusing things with all their technology. The overwatch soldiers are modified humans, as are the stalkers, so whats to say the striders and gunships arent modified creatures as well?

kevin mod, you are a stuck up little 12 year old who thinks he knows everything. Masterofpuppets on the other hand, actually knows what he is talking about, as does everyone else. So how about taking an english and grammar class and proving that you are this "experienced coder" that you seem to think you are. Until you can prove to me or us for that matter that you know what the fuck you are talking about, then you're a n00b to me.

in Zero Area Child Patch Post #96424
I've been working on my map for quite awhile now without running RAD, but when I decided to begin running RAD, it gave me a "zero area child patch" error, and my map refuses to compile. I know this means that there is a face in my map with no area, but I do not know how to find that face and fix it. An article at the snarkpit says to look through my map with a text editor, but what am I looking for? How do I fix it?

If you have your water_lod and you cubemap, then it means that you're not running VIS. Water will look like this if you do not run VIS when you compile

Yep, thats half your problem. Once you have compiled your map, WITH VIS, you need to build your cube maps. You can do that by typing buildcubemaps in the console
