Hello, I'm kinda in a hurry so i'll be quick :

IS it possible to make a timed load, for example, you walk in a lift, the doors close, I stand still, then it starts to load? If i walked into a trigger_changelevel It would load right away? How is this done. Please be quick because I need to send it to my brother FAST!

It's okay folks, fixed it, the problem was that the sentence time was set to 3 secs, but the sentence it self was 30 odd seconds. Puh

No, the sentence is the one when you first meet the military, and the barney get's taken by that zombie, when you get to that room, the scientist says "you can trust them, you can trust all of us." (That's just part of the sentence). Yes, I have listened to the .wav file. I went to the sentences.txt and chose this one :!SC_TRUST. I have to put in the "!" mark because the tutorial said to. Plus, what does "Interrupt Speech" and "Concurrent" mean in terms of halflife mapping? :confused:

Hello, my name is laurence. Right the problem...

I have followed the tutorial on scripted_sentences, but when I run the map, the scientist talks what I tell him to... :| he then says half - way through it "I predicted of all this you know..." or somthing like that...If I select "GAG" in the flags menu for the scientist, he does not even say anything, it is quite along sentence and comes with Halflife. I DID NOT use any custom sounds, they all came with halflife. Can you please help me? :zonked:

Because My stupid brother found my account and screwed everything up, jeez, I'm gonna kill him. He went on my website to and screwed it up, I've fixed it though because I have a backup. I think he cocked it up because I used his computer yesterday and purposly deleted all his games...no, really :D

I forgot to mention, the only thing in the folder is another folder called ambeinces, and in that folder is a sound file called goal.wav? Read the tutorial and tell me if I'm doing something wrong :(

:zonked: I got a problem again :(. On the tutorial that tells you to make the monsters talk, it says : go to the directory of halflife/valve/sound and open the txt documeant sentences.txt Well, sorry, but that file is missing?!
I have the latest version of halflife updates, and Mapping for normal halflife, NOT halflife source. Please help me! Tell me where the sentences.txt is located, I've tried searching for it but I can't find the one that comes with halflife, all I can find is mod sentences.txt which are not useful, please help? :confused:

Hello, my third thread, anyway, you know haflife 2? Well, when I place a light, the further you go away from it, the WHOLE map becomes darker, so if I'm under it, It's like a normal light in HL1, but when I walk away from it, it starts to get dimmer! I working on the new Hammer, please don't tell me to use the old hammer or use diffrent programs. It's really annoying when you need a normal light. J

It's okay, I've fixed the problem, the problem was that the trigger_once was a wrong texture. You know when you make a func_train and to make it work you have to put in a org texture (this kinder green white thingy) yeah, well the trigger_once was the org texture. :D

Umm, hang on listen to this :

If I start a new map, it's okay. If I run a map using a camara that follows a path, and then has all these muiltimanagers in, in screws up!
Help ME!!! Please. This is really strange, but read on :

To fully understand What I have put in this map, read the tutorial "Trigger_Camera". I know ur gonna say, "Well ur gonna have to leave it out" But this is a really important part of the mod, it explains the story!

Any ideas how I fix the problem?
Because even if I start a new map, I still have the same problem.
This is a magor bumber, because I'm working on a mod at the current time, And I Need it to be complete pretty soon.

This error, found an entitly with only an orgin brush near (jumble of numbers), is that what's causing the LOading problems, plus, what ZHLT?
