in Do you love Australia Post #222962
I personaly dislike AUSTRALIANS, not Australia. I like the actual country, but the vast majority of the people are complete rascists. They have prejudice against EVERYONE except themselves, and they cant seem to tolerate anything which isn't australian. Also the majority of Australians seem to simply lack intellecual capability, meaning most of them are pretty stupid. Obviously there are exceptions, like Ant and whatnot. But overall, sort of nice country, really crap people.

I still think South Africa has the most beautiful and varied countryside. Huge mountains and beautiful plains.

Oh, and Australia is nothing like Namibia, I've been to namibia millions of times, and iv'e been to Australia 3 times.

Actualy very simple mathematics. And you wont need to be that accurate to decimals, you only have to be rounded of to about 2 or 3 decimals.

PS - Jimmi, I have quite an extensive coding knowledge - father tought me how to add effects into three dimensional schematic programs, all ive done is reiterate them in a different programming language and through a lengthy course of trial and error I have came up with the modded HL engine...
Ah, ok. Pixel shading though is very advanced, University level stuff. But of course it appears you can do it, so well done. :)

Transport Tycoon - 12 years old and still incredibly addictive
Yeah, I sometimes play it. :P
Crysis looks amazing, and so does the Editor/Engine. BioShock looks weird though, and Quake Wars looks like BF 2142.

Callum P Robertson, how the hell did you do that pixel shading? You still havent told me how. (Except that you told me you programmed it yourself, something I find highly unlikely from a 16 year old boy with no coding knowledge ;) )

Anyway, looking great, Im actualy quite jealous.

Actualy dont get C&C3, Ive been playing it for ages, and the more I play it, the more I realise how crappy it actualy is. Although the graphics are better (more polygons and fancy blurry effects) the graphics still makes me feel sick. Everything is so depressing and dreary, and the glowing tiberium just looks stupid. The teams have very little variation, and the game is awkward to get the hang of. Ive stopped playing it already. If you want an RTS, go for Supreme Commander, because C&C3 is overated crap. As for RTS, I love Oblivion. And for FPS, Ive been playing BF 2142 (And still some BF2).

Haha this is ridiculas, I enjoy drawing (not even mapping) things in my sketchbook, most of them concept art of military vehicles and weapons, which are for the game Im making and mostly just for fun. If the police find me drawing art will they also arrest me for suspected weapon design?

"OMG OMG This guy was most likely trying to engineer weapons for Russia for a future world war! He must be arrested!"

I have always loved RTS games, my favorite being Generals/Zero Hour and C&C3. Though with C&C3 all the focus is on graphics and whatnot, and the game somewhat...just isn't very fun.

Supreme commander is also excellent, and I would recomend it more than C&C3. (I have both, and Supreme Commander is more fun)

How large are your nations? My nation is ranked number 500 or something out of 35000. IT would be better ranked if I had more troops, but I collect about $500 000 of taxes a day.

Hmm, maybe my base vibration in my headphones eliminates that effect. :/

Rather funny allegri with Gman.

Edit: After watching the sixth video (I found on YouTube) it cause me to have a weird rushing sound in my earphones, even after I had taken them off. Like when you cup your hands over your ears, and all you hear is your blood rushing. Its weird. It then suddenly, without fading away, stopped. The sound just stopped instantly.

Edit2: I dont know about you guys, but after watching one of the video's, when I look away, my vision shakes. As if there is a miniture earthquake or something. But extremely subtle shakes. Like tiny vibrations in my vision.

As for my opinion: surely there are other and better ways to develop those skills, I'm sure of it. Maybe drawing. frown - :| Although that there is nothing wrong in playing in the computer.
I haven't played actual computer games for ages (Though I probably will be when C&C3 is released ;)), but I mostly model in blender, engineer in CAD, do homework, study, do more homework, go to school, and study more. And maybe read. And program. And play a 2 minute round of CSS...once a week.

Ah, the joy of grade 10.

when selecting angle, select the ARROW (Right below the angle halo) and it will give you the option of UP or DOWN. Select UP. Alternatively you could enter "-90" in the angle field.
