in Map Making Post #297296
You know you need to be more clear when you say map on a LEVEL MAPPING site, because even though you said "not for a game" I was lost. Anyway,

Don't use "I" so much. You have to use the pronoun often I know, but PLEASE, try to cut down on it, it's annoying, here's an example on how to do this -

"I wanted to know I could do this." could be "The only way to satisfy me would be to have the knowledge that I did not require any help."

These are drastically different sentences, but they communicate the same message, but the latter does it in such a manner that is more capitivating.

Also Dimbark please learn to use commas properly, they can't just be sprinkled everywhere. There are certain times they can be used, not just for a pause and such.

Keep in the same tense, you seem to switch from past to present erradically, by the looks of it I can tell you want past tense, revise your essay.

As for your figuritive language, there is none. This leaves your writing bland, very bland.

in NO SOUND? Post #296819
Well your computer isn't detecting the speakers, so it could be they aren't plugged in. If thats not the case it could be sound card malfuction, which means buying a new one. Then again, it could be a problem with your speaker, plug in headphones or another speaker and see if they work.

GNU means General Null Usage, meaning you have full rights to distribute, but you can't make a profit.

we had to make a poster about the books.
Well that makes sense. It's not like they read those books now, Dr.Seuss sounds like a good choice for a project like that.

For example, my favorite book is Prey by Michael Crichton, but that wouldn't be a very good one to pick, as I would end up trying to draw nanobots.

Maybe I'm missing your point, but there are "colors" that exist that we don't see. Ultraviolet and infrared are just that, practically speaking
Well techniqually speaking Infrared and Ultraviolet aren't color, they are waves on the electromagnetic spectrum. There is no such thing as "color" we can't see due to the fact "color" is defined the reflected visible light that our mind registers, Infrared and ultra violet are the extremes of that spectrum.

Light is the phenomenon created when a photon is created, and this occurs when an electron snaps back into its valence charge. Infrared and ultraviolet are these but aren't seen. which makes them difficult to classify.

You can open a model done in another program in milk? And compatability is what I need. I just need a few basic models. I don't want to make a mod with out atleast some custom models.
Not Exactly, you can IMPORT another model, I use 3ds file format to export in blender to milkshape.

Nice work Ninja, for a beginner, its pretty good. To texture something, You use UV mapping, go ahead and look that up. Some of the blender stuff I created is in that post where I was arguing with crollo.

in Get rewarded for mapping Post #296153
I read somewhere that it has been called the most dangerous project on the internet, actually.
This makes sense. In a way, its like adding and minting money. Take the american dollar for instance, if I were to counterfiet money and use that money to buy something, the overall result would be a depreciation in the value of the dollar as a whole, with more money in play being spread throughout the system it's value would decrease. Supply and demand, you know?

Now this bitcoin thing (while obviously not counterfieting) is adding more currency to the system, not on a national scale, but a GLOBAL one, and while at first the depreciation will only be a minute and insignifigant fraction, it may grow large enough to set back currency value quite a bit everywhere. That is to say if we DID use it in conjuction with our currency.
