I'm preloading it in the hope that Captain P is right and that you can use a boxed version's code to unlock it. Avoids the possibility of multiple Steam installs (one is bad enough).

As for the fade, I wasn't aware of an automatic fade when using cameras, but you could replicate the effect with an env_fade.

Get Zoner's Tools from the Links page to replace your old tools. Compiling can still take a very long time (literally days with a badly-made map on a not-too-great PC).
