the only reason i hate it is because you need a worthwhile computer to keep steam running (or to have it at all), i don't have that and alot of people don't. And now because of that i can no longer play any multiplayer games...Its the only way i can connect to servers. And i can't create them :(

and, if you look around in somewhere like a bus dept. there usually like square/retangles anyway..

I quite like it, the grass does look a lil' unusually.

What kind of building are you making? (like a bus dept. Or something)

The lighting is kinda bad, i don't really think the sky suits the lighting level. Either change the sky to something clear or change the lighting. :)

EDIT: i don't get any pop-ups, don't you have protection against them?

LIES!!! YOU TELL LIES!!! Even this 'tripe' is better then that...that...there is no name for films like that..

Although, i tend to like anime movies about %85 better then the regular films

Althought, there is one movie that i think will always rock, or movies in this case..Back the the future trilogy :)

Short briefing on the flight[b/]

[b]Forces of flight

An aircraft needs to forces to fly: lift to keep it up and thrust to propel it forward. Lift overcomes the plane's weight, and thrust overcomes the drag caused by air flowing past the plane. When an aircraft is cruising, lift is equal to weight and thrust is equal to drag.
Lift
 ^
 |
 |
<--Thrust (AIRCRAFT) -->Drag
|
|
v
Weight
Flying controls

An aircraft is steered through the air by way of three main control surfaces - the elevators on the tailplane, the ailerons on the wings and a rudder under the fin.

Elevators - make the aircraft's nose tilt up and down.
Ailerons - make the aircraft roll from side to side.
The rudder - maks the aircraft 'yaw' left or right.

Aero engine types

An aircraft's engines drive it through the air by producing thrust. Different types of engine produce thrust in different ways. Piston and turbo-prop engines drive propellers that screw into the air, just as a ship propeller bites into the water. Turbo-jet and turbo-fan engines produces a fast moving stream of gas that pushes the aircraft forwards.

Piston engines

These work in the same way as car engines. Petrol and air vapour are mixed in the engines cylinder's and they cause an explosion. The explosions push the pistons, which turn a shaft. The shaft then turns the propeller.

Turbo-prop engines

The simplest type of jets. A turbo-jet engine with a propeller is called a turbo-prop engine. A motor turns the compressor and the propeller, which provides the main engine thrust.

Turbo-jet engines

Air is drawn in and compressed, then sent to a chamber where fuel burns. The gases produced are shot out of the back of the engine, which pushes the aircraft forwards, like a deflating balloon.

Turbo-fan engines

A hybrid of turbo-jet and turbo-props, the turbo-fan engine sucks in air, which is combined with the backdraft from the fan, and also sends air around the engine, producing the same effect as a propeller.

Tried triggering it with a button to check if it wasn't a problem with the train?
havne't tried that yet...

the option was ambience/jetflyby1.wav

I've tried recreating it by changing the train to func_tracktrain and deleting and remaking the ambience (checking what i put in throughly) and the same error prevailed.

Trying different wavs is what im going to do in about an hours time (because im watching T.V :P )

sorry, i was quite tired at the time, i meant to say taht the ambience is the only thing that plays, which is triggered by the train crossing a path_corner
If you have two loud ambient generics going/starting at the exact time will cause this error. Other than that, well... anyone else?
thats what tommy14 said, i checked everything and ran through my map again, yet whenever i trigger the train it still didn't work, it just gave me the same error...Thats the confusing part

I had this problem when i was amking a small setup on a func_train, one of the path_corners had a fire on pass in which targetted an ambience.

I setup the ambience properly, but when i ran the map (after a successful compile) i got an error (when i triggered the train) saying sv_startsound volume:2555, i checked tommy14 and i got this
This is a sound collision that can happen when 2 entitys try to make the same sound at the same time. An example: 2 trains running the same rail sound, both trains started by the same button so they try to open the sound file at the same time. The only known solution is to turn off the sound fx for both entitys....but that was for one case, feel free to experiment!
(For the SV also see SVC_BAD - since I am uncertain if it may not be related to memory overflow of too many entitys loading too many wavs into the precache. sv_startsound is just a guess so far....)
You can also try typing developer 3 into the console while playing the map, then walking through a trigger that targets the wav. The report may give a hint as to what is wrong.
i checked out other sounds, no other sounds were being activated at the same time, the train was created sound. The ambience was the only thing that was a sound and yet no matter what i try it didn't work.. :(

Does anyone know how i may be able to fix this?

as you can clearly see luke, i have been here for a very short period of time compared to most people, and would not know this.

Vampire slayer is pretty damn cool, i like brainbread, for its, how should i put it? gaming style. TFC has to be another, that was damn good! I loved the action involved. CS for its teamplay, if you got onto a good server it was just awesome, i remember when i killed someone with a shotgun when i had only 1 life left, and barely any armour. That was funny...

Those are my top 3 :)
hl2 doesn't have any cool mods yet..

1999: i started way way way back when i was 7, my older brother was playing a game i soon found out to be half-life, i was quite curious about it, he did mapping too but i never knew about that...

2002:I had got my own copy of half-life, and i had finally been able to play it, i became hooked..It was amazing as a first time experience!

(6-7 months later)

I was searching round for custom maps to play and multiplayer stuff (because at this point i owned a few other mods, like CS) i saw people making maps and some of them produced amazing stuff. Then i found out about a guy called peter manson...His maps were purely amazing and was incredibly fun! At this point i gained enough inspiration that i decided that maybe i should become a mapper

2002, December 27th (or somewhere round there) i downloaded warcraft through a demo disc i owned. At this point i was just pathetic..

For some reason i just ran out of inspiration at this point, i guess i thought it was going to be an easy ride..I made some progress but i gave up in 2003

2004 November:While searching round my computer to clear up space for a sims deluxe pack i found worldcraft, i immediately went on and started mapping, i was a little better then last time...Just about good enough so that in about 1-2 weeks i decided i'd continue.

Beggining of 2005: I was searching through the internet at this point looking to improve my skills, i found tutorials on various sites, about 1 month later TWHL appeared in the list of hits and i entered. I started using it on a regular basis and then, well i joined..

So theres my story...As far as i remember :)
