"filesystem.dll" fails to be found when the mod directory is not the 'active' directory, which is when it hasn't been launched through someone looking at the folder in some way, but by a reference to Steam including its location in the path. To fix it, just start Steam normally and start your map through starting a listen server or use the console.

I'm pretty sure Dark Tree was being sarcastic ;)

I am gunna get a DVD-writing one, and then tell my dad we need a DVD+/-RW drive for the PC to burn all the movies I download for him! Haahaa! w00t, finally, I'm not the one paying for all the technology in this house!

I can't see any competition whatsoever between VHS and DVD. That's like comparing a '78 and an OGG player.

It means "turn on 3D acceleration or make simpler maps".

Do you not posess a graphics card? If you do, put HL into OpenGL instead of Software mode. If you don't, buy one :P

Doesn't really matter. It's usually recommended to be 2.5x your RAM, so if you've got 256MB o' RAM then 640 sounds reasonable.

I'd set the minimum and maximum values to the same. A) means that your free disk space doesn't keep changing and B) probably quicker.

Have you downloaded custom sprites and put them in a directory somewhere that's not your game directory? The sprites should be in cstrikesprites. They're needed by anyone who plays the game - they are not included in the BSP.
