Not quite a pic, but very fun nevertheless. Don't get scared by the Spanish.

If you're making a mod then go for it, stick Spirit in, just include it.

If you feel like having a proper shiny pretty install program, drop me a line.

I'm pretty sure they're not. CZ'd've been a lot more popular if it'd been Source-based (Source is the HL? engine).

Good point though, 'bout the FGD. Have a look around forums, maybe drop VALVe a line.

Get GCFScape and have a look at the GCF. If it's got BSPs in, chances are you can map for it same as for good ol' CS.

ZHLT compile tools
Hammer comes with its own set of compile tools, but Zoner's are better and are updated often.

Use those and the error may disappear. If not, look here.

First one: no idea, sorry. It's not that hard to open the tgas though, get IrfanView and then use the thumbnail generator, find skies.

Second: try updating graphics drivers? Maybe just one map?

Media Player can (badly). Nero's a good CD burning package. There's a shareware audio-only CD writer on www.dbpoweramp.com too.

I wasn't aware that .CDAs were anything except pointers/headers for the tracks. Perhaps you mean WAV?

Use dBPowerAmp, for ripping/converting, it's the best. Compress to OGG if you feel really smart, it's a newer open-source codec which is better than MP3.

It's not an error, just ignore it. It's Half-Life connecting up all the nodes. If you don't want it to happen after your map has been released, include mapsgraphsmapname.something.

Well, there was a really good post somewhere about the seven ways to locate leaks. I'll probably write a tutorial on everything I can think of in a week and a half (holidays).

In the meantime, you can just post the map in the Map Vault under Problem Maps and I'll have a look for you. Tell me when it's there by replying here.
