For those of you who didn't know, the Mac 10 is the best weapon in CS:S - it works in any situation. Possibly best at crazy rushes. With dynamic pricing, it costs you around $600 and is available at first round.

You can apply this tactic to just about any map in the game.

Seeing as how 5 stars is maximum, I use it as 100%. So I guess my stars "translates" into:
1: 1-25
2: 25-50
3: 50-75
4: 75-95
5: 95-100

5-ers will only be given to maps that are, in my opinion, perfect and can't be improved in any way.

In my opinion, source feels a lot more gooder (it's a word) than both the Doom 3 and Unreal 2 engines. I don't know why, everything just feels... sharper, crisper. Better-looking. Can't really put my finger on it. The load times are 'orrible though.

Looks like the engine is ignoring the brushes to me... press Alt+p and look at the compile log for error messages.
If all else fails, upload it to the map vault under problem maps.

Wow, Tycell, you really have some bad prejudice there. A lesbian feminist would have your head.
Yes, the combat effectiveness of women can be debated, but I think it's more a matter of individual strengths and weaknesses, not gender. I have no doubt you can train women to be "as effective" as male soldiers. Might need a different type of training or methods, but it can probably be done. Come on now, the difference between guys and girls isn't that big. This is the 21st century.

would you want this to be made by some shi* developer???
... Turtle Rock is "some shit developer" if you ask me. But indeed, the developer doesn't matter - however, it's helpful for approximations of the quality of the game, pre-release - and my approximation of this game isn't very positive.

The French are a people who like to show their dissatisfaction. I can respect civil disobedience in mass outbreaks. But yeah, the country seems to have a few problems, especially regarding immigrants and assimilation. Not to mention segregation, on more than one level.

I've never seen a game from Turtle Rock that I really like. They've made, what, CS:CZ and some maps for CS:S? Not the most impressive repertoire, if you ask me. Especially not when compared to Valve. The fact that they're buddy-chums with Valve and releasing their new games on Steam doesn't really mean much - Valve aren't developing the game. I don't see what all the fuzz is about.

Stop whining about large images and get with the times, you stone-age man. Anything below broadband is so 1990's. Whiner.

In fact, I think we should encourage large images (2 megs plus - the bigger the better!) to somehow mock and mess with the 56k people, in our utter broadband superiority. Ha.

I agree, remove everything but commonly played maps from the map cycle. Keep the maps on the server, but don't put 'em in the cycle.
A suggestion for the cycle would be something like...
crossfire
sunden
rapidcore
gungod
detention
That's pretty much what I'd like to see.
Another thing, make admin_vote_map a public command, so anyone can do it. There's no harm in that.

These "screaming security cameras" are ludicrous. Not only are they horribly ineffective - they're also plain obnoxious (indecent behaviour!), expensive and most of all, privacy infringing. Ridiculous.

This "war of terror" always amuses me - especially the US' "National threat advisory". Honestly, this is comically stupid. Not only does it inform terrorists when security will be elevated and when it's relatively low (I mean, who the hell thought this up?), it's also only a way to fill the population with fear. When the citizens of a country are afraid, constantly, of an unknown, unbeatable threat, the terrorists have won. That's their goal, all along, damn it. Annoys the crap out of me how Americans still can't see they're helping the terrorists win. Sack 'o poop.

By the way, the internet isn't all good and glory. ISPs have already started blocking sites with inappropriate content to reach the viewers (in Denmark and Norway IIRC). Not to mention the on-going debate about "net neutrality" with companies wanting to make their sites faster and everyone else's slower. Again, ridiculous.

The raid on the Pirate Bay wasn't as much an issue with the internet itself as it was a bloody scandal for the Swedish department of justice. Those wankers should go to trial, honestly.
