FireFox really is the superior browser. I downloaded a beta (or "trunk") release, applied every in the MozillaZine tweaks thread, and the thing is fucking fast, beats Opera, hard.
I am developing a comic strip based around the everyday life of TWHL including noobs, server errors, atom appearing, mass debates, irc etc etc. I haven't finished a full episode yet, but to keep it short, they will all be 4 frames, and more only if necessary, to keep development times down. I don't have a working scanner at the moment, so I have to draw using photoshop + mouse 
But I am doing ok. Here is a sneak preview of the first episode, entitled "ZOMGSKILLZ!1":
Story: A CS nerd joins TWHL, posts useless spam, gets executed.
Frame 1: The nerd queues up at the register booth of the TWHL HQ.
Frame 2: The nerd is greeted by Seventh-Monkey.
Frame 3: The nerd posts goatse.
Frame 4: The nerd faces a public execution in front of a collection of TWHL'ers.

Firefox definately pwnz. It's open source and can be compiled for almost any Unix architecture, it also works on Windows, but nobody cares about that.
Reseat the cpu's HSF and apply thermal paste such as Arctic Silver 3 or 5. Use a very small vacuum cleaner to clean components and heatsinks/fans. Replace battery. If you still get problems I would suspect a dead power supply or something shorting out.

Pff, I've just thought of the best idea ever, scrap x86 CPU's and use RISC! x86 was only invented as an easy solution for ASM programmers in the first place because RISC was inconvinient and awkward to program for. x86 is very ineffeciant since it must convert it's instructions to RISC before processing anyway.
Even better than that, DON'T USE WINDOWS!
