That's a good tool - can't say i use it much. i like having to slog out my Vertex Manipulation through compile cycles. Failing that - it's Notepad editing.
because you have the knowlege that you have outsmarted the programmer of a specific application, or defied which was previously thought of impossible. thats what I think.
YES!
Its all about knowing. People who know don't talk, people who talk know nothing.
Everyone likes a challenge - usually in PCs its in the form of Maths and programming - its just plain Fun. Some people get it, others don't.
And another thing: Threats build integrity. Exploits expose bugs and add functionality. And hacks encourage development. Think about it - if there was nobody trying to break windows all the tiem, would microsoft want to update it at all?
Well - Everyone should be free to say whatever they want, but everyone else should be free to express their anger / support too.
The Muslim community made their point, they don't like it - i don't blame them, but i don't think they should go on a warpath over some satire.
Their religion already teaches that anyone outside the muslim community is of the same status as a dog (most muslims don't follow that belief, the extremists btw) - But that's common to all religions, Judaism, Christianity - it's just what religions do.
Its also good to compile in a DOS window (batch compiles) with "-estimate" command line switch. That was you can see what's taking so long. If it's stuck on VIS, some optimizing is due - if RAD is taking long, then i might just be the way it is.
Read the Help file in Hammer on VM. It gives you everything you need to know. Likew CTRL+F for splitting faces and other shortcut keys that activate stuff you can't with a "menu".
Don't go too over the top with VM - if you can do it by Clipping (either splitting the brush in parts [ click the Clip tool twice ] or cutting bits off)
Yea.. that's right: Brackets nested within brackets.. i went there.
Built the inside of the osprey with brushes, Fade in and out for "Getting on, and getting off" and when the osprey takes off, use the animation of the model. (I assume you have OpForce?)
I've given up on language on the internet. You can't fend off all the "yo d00d wad up" yuppie scum.
But i can understand your point(s). When English isn't your vernacular language - its hard to understand slang and mistyped text. I guess it all comes down to the person typing the post.
Heh - my first map was kinda like satchmo's - i was jumping up and down on my seat when i got a gargantua into a .. well not so much a room as a floor.. and no Rad..... those were the days.
