Next you're going to tell me you guys don't make your models using that software :-s, may I ask what it is that you do use? Sure I can make some SS's of some of my maps :D, I'll have to make a quick website to demo them, give me 5 mins lol...

Well unfortunately I probably don't have as many skills as the rest of the guys here, but I love to make maps & have just got the XSI tool (and I thought hammer looked hard when I first got it). I'm a quick learner though, some of the cool guys on the team here know me from the thread I started about my stolen map. Fixed that problem & want to move on. I have many ideas to offer, which can sometimes be more valuable than skills :D. So basically I can map, design & make textures, do voice (different accents) & hopefully soon model too.

I can make the coffee/tea for the team!

I've decided to start releasing all my maps on various sites so that these schweine (swines) & everyone else like them won't screw me so bad next time. Can anyone recomend some good sites (apart from this one :p) to do this? Thanks once again and no sm0k3y @ the bottom this time!

Hey guys, thx once again for taking the time to read and reply..

I have made quite a few maps, some complex, cs de etc. But if people can just decompile them with such ease, it really puts me off making them. Takes all the fun out of it.. I could spend days getting certain things to work, only to have some noob come along, decompile, then find out how I did it in seconds. I was going to release cs_hotel before all this happened, but I don't think I will now, if someone's just gonna OWN it.
You know these guys even tried threatening me, saying "we know where you live" etc, before telling me just to stfu, then kick and ban me again. I've written many entries in to their guest book (probably how they got my ip or from the game), but they just delete them straight away. They're like the ultimate frauds, theives and cheats throughout the gaming world and they have no shame about any of it!

Anyway you look at it, these guys are major a$$holes, I tried talking to the other crew members, but they just said the same thing as their leader shadow. How low can these guys go?? It's bad enough to steal my map etc but then threaten me on top of it all, then boot me the hell off their server...

Hey thanks for your support guys, they have a website where there was links to personal information. So I managed to retrieve some pictures and information about the person responsible. I immediately cut the head off in his pic, and superimposed it on to gay porn stars heads lol. Made sprays of them and went back in to their server and sprayed away. Although a dirty trick it's what this guy deserved, my next step is to decompile their map and remake it, rename it, then pass it off as my own. Wait wait what am I saying, they have dragged me in to the gutter where I found them. Scrap all that I didn't do that stuff...

Hey everyone out there,

I am an avid fan of CS and have become a dedicated map maker over the last few months. But unfortunately it has come to my attention that my map, Glass_War has been decompiled, edited and renamed without my knowledge or permission. By someone I can only call a THEIF and a very disrespectful, lazy person who does not have the skill or knowledge to design his own maps.
This person is ShadowFrOMGermany, he?s the leader of a crew called THM and is currently hosting my stolen map on his server @ 213.131.244.241:26080.
I have asked him and his crew very nicely to remove this fraudulent copy, but they simply refuse, abuse, then kick and ban me.

Anyway my main reason for writing here, is so that other map makers can be aware of people like this, who search for good maps which they know are popular (and could never make themselves), then decompile them with the intention of exploiting all your hard work to their advantage.
There isn't much we can do about the fact that with a decompiler, anyone can steal your map and make it their own. But what we can do is name and shame these people! Put it out there, that you are the original author of the map, so that scum like Shadow and his crew (who are just as bad as their leader) can?t get away with it so easily.

Don?t get me wrong, I don't mind so much that they host my map (without my permission), that?s why I make maps, so others can enjoy them. But to be so sneaky and disrespectful by changing it, renaming it and then passing it off as their own work is just disgusting. It's like a kick in the teeth to anyone that ever made a map!
