Seventh, SSH is a completely different thing. Telnet was used before the days of DNS and IP addresses to dial into remote machines. Hence, the "tel" as in Telephone Network. God knows why they call it Telnet nowadays. It doesn't even have anything to do with telephones. SSH is a secure shell protocol and is used to connect to remote unix machines in a secure enviroment. To use telnet for email services, you must have a pop3 mail host and not shitty hotmail. Connect to your pop3/smtp server on the correct port and use the servers commands. There should be a help command on most servers to get you started.
If you can't work out what server TWHL is on, then you shouldn't be using telnet for IRC.

Firefox is much faster than firefox, it leaves more room for browsing too. You can remove all of the toolbars if you need, giving you nearly a whole screen of browsing space. Opera is bulky and horrible.
Firefox... cheap and inferior? Firefox is minimalist. Besides, they release the code, which means they are not afraid to show how good their coding is. Opera is probably compiled by a hamster on a Winblows 98 box and coded by half brained monkeys. That's why it is closed source, they are afraid someone might discover their crappy coding skills.

Ok, I have my starttime clocked! 10 minutes to properly cool denatured alcohol in liquid chiller, 2 minutes to cool down CPU cooling, and another 5 minutes before I'm at my desktop in X. So that's what, 17 minutes. Although, I don't need to run the chiller for 10 minutes, I could probably run for 5. And I could take some time off of booting by removing some excess stuff in my kernel and disabling X.
