Don't blame us if your PSU blows up, though.

Hell, I've been running on 250w (a 3ghz p4 and an agp 9800pro) for years with no problems.

Does it matter what engine they used if they rewrote most of the code?
I think 70% or so of the code was made from scratch.

I don't think they used Worldcraft, that was developed by autolycus (yes?) after the release of Half-Life. I think they used some old quake editor.

Examply, my avatar is named 353.jpg - my ID is 353.

Lets say your map's name is hello.
You make a mini-mod out of this hello map, by making a hello directory in sierrahalf-life. In sierrahalf-lifehello you place titles.txt, and a folder named maps, containing your bsp files.
You also need to set up a liblist.gam file. Read the "Setting up a mod"-tutorial.

Then just place env_messages linking to paragraphs within titles.txt.

in Env_message Post #186007
I believe your only choice for having a custom titles.txt is to distribute the map in mini-mod format. That's how I did it.

You could, alternatively, use game_text's, which can't handle nearly as much text, but don't need any external files.

The graphics and physics (watch the trailer) are very impressive, for a home-made game. Too bad the awful (what it looks like, anyway) level design and texturing makes it look so bland.

From the trailer, it seems like the whole game is played with a flashlight in black environments, and that's pretty shit. Probably won't try it, tbh.

Education is the key. That, and a working, organized government. And rowley, proposing they starve to lower the child birth rate is fairly heartless. Again, educate.

And M_Garg: Exactly which would these countries be, that are beyond salvation?
Really, it's the europeans who, pretty much, made the third world what with it's colonization and imperialism in the 18th and 19th centuries, it's sort of our job to clean up the mess.
Or atleast try to.

Dont_buff_my_pylon is an actual console command in G-mod.

The cube background really could use some work - it brings far too much contrast and draws attention away from what's going on.

Can't see what's happening at all in the last frame, 'tis very dark.

Nice posing, good editing, good theme. Quite funny, too, this has potential. A bit dark, for us 0-brightness-monitor users, you might want to kick the lightness up a bit in whatever editing app you're using.

Good work.

Windows Vista will use quite a lot of DRM techniqes to make sure us poor warez-users will die an early death. 'Tis a sad day for all when the world adapts everything to Vista.

Anyway, yeah, Bill Gates could donate tonnes more than he does now, but that's up to him. Calling someone evil because they're not giving their money away seems a bit narrow-minded to me.

becaue right now, it is just a money pit, theres nothing we can realisticly do. unless you consider killing every combatent an option.
Why isn't that positive? I'd say we can do a damn load with the money being thrown in the space and weapons industry. How about actually funding help actions to take a more active roll in preventing diseases and supplying equipment and education to local farmers?
I think no one in the world has to starve, we have the resources to supply more than enough food for everyone on the planet, it's just a matter of what we're willing to give up.

"Exploring" space should be one of them, seeing as how it's god damned expensive. Not to mention the ridiculous amount of money spent on the military.

Free will ftw. However, his company does push some pretty mean tactics to (successfully) monopilze the market, putting smaller corporations out of business. That's my main grudge against MS. When companies grow too big, monopolies, they automatically become corrupt.
