You can put up 1 or 2 prefabs in the MV probably. I had a prefab up in the vault a while ago and it didn't get deleted.
Even ZombieLoffe and RabidMonkey were getting reasonable pings and they are both from different countries.

Dude, your connection lags. On my server you had a huge ping when everyone else has 100x smaller pings.
The WON servers are offline, so you couldn't connect even if you tried.

Play as marines to start off with as they are easier. Although, I have always played as aliens. Just practice. When I first played NS, I didn't even know how to get upgrades.
You need to run HL with -dev in the command line btw. Try that.
What can you expect from 10/20 minutes work eh.
They should make mod icons for every major mod like The Specialists, Natural-Selection, HLDM and HLSP seperate icons, Condition Zero seperate from CS. I will think of more mods.

Strange. I can use all cheats without touching any sv commands. I might write a setting up Hammer for Steam and a Compiling with Steam tutorial. Then people will stop asking why their bsp doesn't go into the maps folder

Well, after some reading up and help, I am now ready to make a serious ns map. My first one will be a combat map for NaturalSelection 3. It will be reasonably big and will be able to hold 12 players (6 per team). I will post screenies as the map progresses. The name will be co_unnamed for now. I will post screenies from hammer in a minute.
I have 2 firewalls running all the time and the server works fine. Just set up some properties in ur firewall.
Seventh is just a moderator. Andy can post news and do all sorts of stuff (editing profiles?). Andy is one of the sites original members if I am correct.
With Steam (which is necessary for online HL now), if your connection is fast, you can run a Steam Dedicated Server (just launch from the me games menu) and join on the same comp. That's how I host my games. It's very fast and lags alot less than running a lan game and setting sv_lan to 0. I can host CS or HLDM at the moment. NS has some problems but I will get on them. If you want me to put a custom map cs or hldm server, email me (look in my profile for address) with a request, the server name, the amount of people you will want (10 is maximum for now) and zip up any custom maps/resources and send them to me.
Unless you are a master of C++ and the HL SDK, you would never be able to code a bot from scratch.

In a situation with lots of enemies, I just use the spawn command to spawn loads of barney's and escape from the area.

It collects water to cool the lambda reactor.
