4 path_corners
1 env_laser
1 npc_seagull

The env_laser has a target of the npc_seagull, which flies around the room to each path_corner. The laser is on the center of the ceiling, and points at the bird as it flies around.

It is VERY choppy..... (as seen in http://twhl.co.za/mapvault_map.php?id=3989 )

I need help with this... how can I smooth out the laser so it seems to follow the bird around better?

IUs there a way to get a prop_phys object to trip an event when it hits a trigger brush? Say a tire hits a "laser" and an alarm sounds.

Also what;s the ent for a sound to be played like an alarm, I cant find it.

I'm just wanting to share a thought...

Tonight I finally figured out a simple set of "toggling" triggers. I have a brush that you walk onto which turns on a blue light... then you walk off it, and onto another one - the blue light is off when you walk off the one, and a RED one turns on with the OTHER one.

No I dont want a cookie, No I dont deserve a little silver star, but when you figure something out in Source, it makes ya feel like "Hey I learned something new!"

Triggers are so complex, but I like 'em! :nuke:

I distinctly remember somewhere there is an ent set you can download for cameras in CS:S

I'll continue searching for it, but I clearly remember it being possible...

I guess I didn't explain it properly.

This is for CS:S - not HL2 SP... (hence the goofup in the subject, "GORDON")

I want an area where a camera will continue to look at a player as long as they are in a certain area, or would it just be easier for me to have a single camera aiming at the whole area?

Also, I know there was something I needed to download to have cams in CS:S - I'll search the forums here for it, but if I cant find it I'll let ya know.

I placed KasperG's map in that directory, and unfortunately I cannot load the map when I create a new server.

Only the standard Deathmatch Classic maps are being shown in the drop-down list

First it was Nero, and THEN I tried Media Player.

I can;t seem to find where to burn Audio CD's slower though. In MP you can't (at least not that I saw)

And no I don't use the PC at all while burning ANYTHING.

I am one of (I am sure) millions that love to make compilation CD's from favorite songs. I especially like one particular group that I have 28 tracks from.

I split them up 14 each onto 2 discs.

Lately when I burn a CD-R it has this tendancy to go about 10 tracks in, and suddenly comes up with a disc error. I've played it in my DVD player, my PS2, my COMPUTER, and even my car stereo... SAME THING. It either stops, or it skips.

Cleaning didn't help, so here I am asking any of you Techies out there what else the problem could be.

FYI - DVD's did the same thing until I started burning them at 4x speed instead of 8x

The drive is a Dual-Layer combo DVD-R/CD-R drive. It was purchased brand-new and installed approximately 6-7 weeks ago.

Thanks in advance for any insight, and sorry for the SEVERELY off-topic opst in here hehe.

I've been toying with killing Breen in a simple test map - and I had NO IDEA you could shoot the dude right in the head LOL. I damn near fell on the floor laughing at it. Didn;t expect it at all.

Built a room, some lighting, and was bored so I decided to create a pyramid of boxes...

Got out the crossbow and started shooting certain ones out...

BJ thanks for the help... although the "elevator" is moving as if it's one of thise trains... using W & S as the "speed and direction" controls... it doesnt stop at the top path_track... it hits it and then autmoatically reverses

Also the button stays put on the bottom floor.

I'm familiar with HL1 decompiling, but HL2 is unknown to me.

EDIT:

It appears that the HL2 maps are not in BSP format... but .cache and .manifest files are there.

When I place that ent on the board, I can't grab it with the PhysCannon, and it also looks to be about the size of a marble.....
