ok, how about another suggestion, How about a more advanced rating system?
like rating the map's Gamplay,skill,texturing,etc.

Maybe the effect is just random or lots of info_target entities with env_beam's connecting it with a little bit noise.

....OKAY. I'm forfeiting the competition. My reason: No more ideas left and no more TIME. Because my map in Halo (which is my only idea) screwed up i tried to find other games but i can't. sorry i'm forfeiting the competition you guys...

....And um...also I forfeited because of to much information and ideas going in my head. I really gave me a haedache (seriously). ....

Maybe i could distract them so they will not kill the barneys and ME. Example, i could add more aliens or move them closer to the aliens.
Or...they all have aiscripted_sequences so they will be perfoming somthing everytime.

Ok, i'll go directly to the point...how in the world can i make a SKY texture??? And one more thing, i know the last two letters mean in every "sky file" (targa file(.tga)).

Do I just need to make a group of 6 TARGA files and then add two letters that mean the location of the texture then use it??? YES or NO?

:D Um...i have a bug to report and here it is. ( I don't know if this was reported earlier but again here it is)

in the
'edit map" and "submit a map" pages the extra notes are on top and the part where you put the info for your map (like screenie,mapname,etc.) is on the bottom part of the page :ciggie:

umm...my ""marble arena"" remake map screwed up and the map looks that there is no chance of winning. :roll: So, maybe i'll just make a Halo:combat evolved map because i can't find an other idea for an entry and i have only a few days left before the competition closes. I have NO other choice

question for the moderators: Will you guys allow me to make a remake of a HALO map for an entry fothe competition?? Will I have a lesser chance of winning if I make this map because probably some moderators don't like it (i thought of that because majority of the members don't like HALO)??? please do give a reply immeadiatley to this post because i lack time already.

:D OK i have 2 tips that i can share today

Tip#1 Make your maps as realistic as possible.

Means that what you make your map make it look like everyday things.
Like for example, when you build a small warehouse and there is no columns or pillars, it's so unreal and your map will suck. it'll look ugly

Tip#2 Let your imaginationflow freely while makin' your maps.

Meeans that when you create your maps you just make all the parts in diferent locations in the grid then later organize it

I'll give more of my tips if i can think of some. I wish this was a big help for the compo

I found about this when i looked at the entity lists of VERC collective and when I map for ver 1.0.0.9 i want to have these entities. I am really grateful if somebody here would give me a download link for that or send it to me at halflifegenius@gmail.com Or you could just maybe edit the FGDin the entity list of TWHL (if you know how to code). Thank you in advance.

:D ATTENTION!!! all labyrinth mappers. ok, i was stil thinkin' of this but i'm posting it here to here some comments, reactios or disagreements about this mod. my mod is about a labyrinth a big big big labyrinth. at the end there is a big teleporter (an acient one to be exact) that will lead you to some parts of the world. my theme is a hedge labyrinth. that's all. and i am gladly inviting mappers to contribute to this project of ours. i said ours because i am not making this mid alone it will be the whole TWHL! (if somebody is interested).so all i need is a lot of mappers,and coders. the map theme may be different but i'll be sending some of my prefabs if your interested in makin' hedge-style laby's. :tired: i am really tired right now maybe tommorow i'll give more info about it but if you have interest on this project first i would reccomend you to participate in the competition held here.so i can see your skills before participating here because i might be disturing you right now but if your not joing the compo you can start makin' maps for my, I mean...our mod. cracks yawn
