i mean you can use a small amount of custom content that you haven't made yourself. theres no limit on self-made content.I planned on retooling the original textures from the game I'm doing directly from screen captures (basically ripping them directly).
just remember that ant has to download it (dialup), and if it's massive for something that doesn't merit the size, he won't be happyI have access to a super fast Uni connection, so it's no problem for me.
I must point out that you don't have to make the exact same map - i.e. you can change the texturing, you can change the models (anything to get out of making custom content, if you are unable) - as long as the map represents the map in the screenshots you provide.Does that mean, that I can texture the map totally different from the actual map? We will also be judging how well you 'refresh' the content: think about the Black Mesa modification for Source for an idea of what we mean.

it has to be in a different engine, meaning that you can make hl2 in gldsrc, and HL in source. you can't make HL1 in goldsrc.learn to read
