Wait a minute. Canada isn't in Europe. (Theory of a Deadman!)

Also, not all musicians from the U.S. are like 50cent. Stevie Wonder, BB King, Herbie Hancock... not going into this.

Let's see...
Jamiroquai, Zero7, the Brand New Heavies, Joss Stone, the James Taylor Quartet are the ones I can think of right now. And right now I'm going back to homework, so that's all I'll think about this for tonight.

Oh and of course, The Beatles and individual members - Paul McCartney, George Harrison, John Lennon... perhaps not Ringo, he hasn't had a great solo career and I haven't heard any of his solo material.

Back in the days of omega_assault I thought it would be awesome to have a mine and rideable carts with which to run over other players. But I never managed to make a decent cart, and I didn't even start with the mine.

/me votes for func_train carts

(note: can't see the screenshots, my post is based off the other posts)

The point is you can get decent photos out of bad cameras if you want to. There's nothing specific in my photo you're expected to look at, other than the cityscape. You don't like it? Fine. You're allowed to. But I do.

Go back to page 10, there's some photos taken with my new camera. Such as the following. You don't need a Nikon D3s to take these photos, they don't even have a short DOF. You can frame like this with a $100 Kodak.

You can't just rely on DOF to magically make your photos great.

This is dedicated to Crollo. I took this photo years ago with my low-end BenQ E600. To be fair, I did tinker with the colours afterwards. But it's still proof you can get decent photos with the shittiest camera if you're willing to.

What a waste. If you want to make maps that big, you're better off finding a different game to map for, such as Oblivion or Fallout.

Maybe it just has way too many brushes and Hammer can't handle it. Could be possible, considering the level of detail you say it has.

Grats dude! I'm also surprised to not see Zeeba in there, though my vote was also influenced by apparent playability. I couldn't playtest yours, I don't have HL2 :( Could you port to HL1? Both looked great and playable.

in Hammer 3.5 crashes when opening a .rmf Post #293711
A long time ago, back in the days of my dracula castle (which probably everyone has seen already) I tried to make another CS map. Since I didn't know any better, I started to map and map and map, until the result was a whole city taking up most of the mappable grid. It had EVERYTHING: Residential areas, hotels, train stations, warehouses, a church, and I had even started a small airport. Until one day Hammer just started to crash whenever I tried to open the rmf.

So maybe your map had too many brushes.

It might be a part of the custom count() function, you should check your db engine.

That could be. Doesn't mean it's a correct account of maps, it's only tracking how many times I uploaded anything. In which case it should probably be labeled differently.

I don't know much about laptops either. I generally only know about current computers when I need to buy a new one - that'd be about once every 6 or 7 years. I'm still good for another 2-3. I hope :P

I'll never understand the US tax system.

Speaking of taxes, the other day a letter arrived at my house - the previous owner as the recipient. It was pretty short and went something like "we have detected unusual operations in foreign currency in your name that didn't match your stated income. Please correct this in your next income report". There was no return address and I don't know where this person lives now, so I can do nothing about it. But I found it funny :P

Then it's not the brush, it's the area. Either your map sucks incredibly in that part, or you're trying to do something too clever for this engine.

Location: Azerbaijan. I wouldn't bet on anyone else here understanding Azerbaijani.

So, Huseyn26: Do you know any other languages besides Azerbaijani and English?

What I guess you meant is that you click "tie to entity" and nothing happens. Make sure Ignore Groups is not selected (the [ig] button at the top of the screen).

in diappearing brush entities... Post #293103
It's most likely only caused by having too many entities rendered at once. Perhaps you could combine multiple similar brush entities into a single entity, etc.

This doesn't necessarily mean all offending entities are within your direct field of view, the game may consider a whole larger area as within your field of view. You'd have to look up hint brushes, but I other more knowledged users will explain this better.

Read the following post by someone well knowledged in the subject:
