I dunno... maybe the ability to control time is quite ultimate. I'd be able to finish everything really fast, like my homework, and 6D, and everything else.

That or power of air control. Make air my minion so I could fly and space travel, as well as lift stuff and use it to cut materials up for building...

If i had to choose just one, it'd be air control. all of the time in the world can't improve upon some things...

figured you'd need dozens of them. although you can optimize a brush-based version a bit by making a room of them a single func_illusionary then use the clip or null brush to make much simpler hulls for them.

R_Mirroralpha is a left over command from early HL and/or Quake. There's dozens of commands like that. This one doesn't work just like half of the other commands.

However, Spirit can add a glossy factor to a surface if you like.

heh, kinda.

My school thinks I don't have a life. It looks grim for everything except for homework. I couldn't even imagine trying to hold a job right now.

Slowly, I'm mapping a little something new for Daub'sters's' HLDM server.

I would like to simply get it to the same level as Flat-Life. More like a kit for people to map for and its open for a variety of mappers and mapping styles. I already talked about it.

I very roughly organized some killing space. However, half of it is good, and half of it is crap. I knew that was going to happen because the same thing happened when I was planning it out on paper. I'll provide some files if you want to see what I mean.

My latest User posted image map, download this package if you want to run around it first-hand.

I pretty much need criticism, ideas, or even help as to how to make this map functional on both sides. If at all possible, since Daubster has a server going, it can be tested and tweaked as needed. Provided is an RMF so if you have any ideas that would be better shown, just map it in.

We'll worry about the pretty texturing later. I want to take this one slow and do it right.

well, HL does have enough after looking at it this morning. I know I won't have too much of a problem with it.

Also, may I emphasize on the "make a fun puzzle."

Being that if its far too complicated, it may not be as fun as you think. I don't think the purpose is to achieve that maximum player tilt.

I've spent moar than enough time carefully planning and finessing my race into an exotic bird-of-paradise clan with elegant buildings and a tropical home planet.

Of course, I will start a game this weekend a race of creatures that will resemble pirates and act apart.

That or the classic penis creatures, i haven't made one yet :/

In fact, we should share some spore crap here on this thread, trying to find them on the online sporepedia is hell with over 10 million creatures to sift through.

in 6-D : A Half-Life Puzzle Mod [WIP] Post #255211
Its good for what the club needs, but I need it for texturing. Speaking of which, I found out who's under my wing, which only one person. Whats the fucken point of being given a leadership role when its only two artists? A few of the other teams were like that as well, and it created a whole lot of animosity amongst the departments. Like the environment modelers had only two people. There are some serious holes in the talent of the club, and there are about 23 people in the club as a whole. I'm not sure where this is going and it seems like the project is going to do a 6D through out its progress.

Also, speculating on Spore, my roomy says that it seemed to have pulled a 6D as well. I believe him, but I might write a letter to EA about it. A full circle in the game would be masterfully brilliant, but its so close to doing so. From my understanding, you play as the pilot of a ship at the last stage. But this should be in the game; you should be able to leave the ship and play as a commander with some squad members, and for the weapons, you make them from various parts you've collected from defeating or befriending enemies. Essentially a revamp of the Evolution stage. That, and the ability to have multiple ship to control, the one-ship thing is a bit tiresome traveling everywhere.

I say near the end, it feels absolutely rushed. I do hope that, for the love of god, the attempt to redeem themselves. It's not game of the year quality yet. It's still fun, but it needs that epic conclusion that the scope of the game requires.

lol.

Gave Blender a good whirl, it has possibly the best texturing tools I've ever seen. learn to use it and it will spoil your habits! Its easy once you get its work flow down good enough, plus there are several video tutorials on youtube and their website.

That being said, things are looking up since I don't have to spend a day unwrapping, I only get to spend an hour, or perhaps a few minutes and then paint that same day. :3

Sad to say that speeds up a lot of work for other things, which may lead to time on this.

I am now working on: 9 projects (simultaneously)
