I think if we're going to be giving out prizes we would need to decide on a single game which the majority of members have, otherwise someone who has only half the games somone else does they're already at a disadvantage.

I'm just a poor h4><0r who can't afford one of those 64-core PC @4THz with 4TB of RAM and 400YB of disk and mega-accelerated NVirtual GSTXST98000 graphics card needed to run GTA IV.
You been looking at my specs? :P

GTA IV is pretty mid-range these days. GTA V is coming out soon. Might have to double the cores!

But why would such a map have to have a vault?
I think he genuinely means that he wants a map based on Fallout, not just any post apocalyptic setting. :P

I'm out though, for two reasons really.

1.Source
2.The Ship

Bzzt. Incorrect.

Use a trigger_cdaudio. You need to enter a number in the track field. For HL I think 1 - 29 work and 0 is silent, for when you want to end the music.

To find the right track, you can test them in-game using the console command: cd loop #

(# is the track number)

Downloaded an started playing The Bizarre Adventures of Woodruff and the Schnibble of Azimuth, a point and click adventure game from some company I've never heard of, published by Sierra. I remember playing this when it came out when I was younger.

One thing I have noticed is how it massively overdoes things with the cartoon sound effects. I'm sure it was comical back in the day, but the volume and quality fluctuates with every single one.

I've been experimenting with AGS. Since storytelling is one of my favourite aspects in gaming, an adventure game might be just the medium for me. I've been testing it out this afternoon. All being well I will be able to start a proper project once I'm done with The Core.

Playing Fallout New Vegas again. I had uploaded a video, but man, even I got fucking bored of it while editing. Might just go back to HL1 mod highlights videos.

On the BF3 front, I've challenged myself to get the L96 sniper rifle into my top 5 weapons. Managed to get it to #6 last night by playing Team Deathmatch of all things.

We have a "Now Gaming" and "Just Finished Gaming" thread, though the latter seems to be lacking in the posts department. What about a "Hope to soon be gaming" thread? What upcoming titles are you most looking forward too.

For me the next game I'm waiting for is Far Cry 3. Yes, FC2 was truly awful and this years E3 demo showed some of the most retarded coop gameplay ever, but after reading this months PC Gamer (UK) it's starting to sound like my kind of game. Free roaming, side missions, hubs and shops, they seem to be leaning more towards an FPS with RPG mechanics.

Now, Fallout 3 and New Vegas (which I loved) were RPGs with FPS elements so it will be interesting to see how FC3 fares on review day.

Either way, after reading about PCG's playthrough and realising that it comes out November 29th 2012 (sure 2013 was mentioned at some point but whatever) and after checking out some fresh gameplay footage I am suddenly very excited about this again.

I will admit that source could easily take a different approach to level design. Use hammer to get the basic geometry down, then have a gmod style system to place models, dynamic lights, enemies etc.
