uhh, how did i miss spelt any thing, and there isnt any spell checkers in fireforx.

any ways, do u people here worry more about the spellings or the topic? or is it just that you have nothing to say so u worry about other people's spellings? well if thats so then why just not post stupid things and get to the topic?

Hi all, As u might know, i bought half-life2 right this day, and i also visited the twhl's dm2 server, and i was realy amazed by the grafic and also i was amazed the a could get any frags in the lags :P

any ways, i wanted to ask you:

If i make a hl2:dm map, what should i include in it?

What program opens hl2 model files and what format do the hl2 use for the models.

What format is used instead of the .wad's

Which character/player should i use in the options menu? :P just curious of this one

Well, if i make it completely dark with no light_environmelt it wont work because i make it a day type thing well, thats how it is, and i duno how to make it to look like dawn :x

Uh well multi manager will be better for me then, i dont want like people to triger em, because then they will hear it everytime, but like in the multi manager, if ur in a diferent place in a diferent time, u might have a chance to catch up with a sound :)

Well. How to trigger sound ambiences when u want em to get trigered!

Should i use multimanager on ambiences? because when i used trigger_once with the ambience sounds, they just automaticaly played after the spawn, witch shouldnt ave hapened!

I bought it in a store near the city (centre of london)
dunt remember the name.

There were some cases put in the shelf for many games (eaven hl2) with the cd key in it :| maybe some one wrote the cdkey down and used it :nervous:

im not gona shop in there any more!

3. Have u changed all the sounds to the otis ones and made the player mutch slower than before because otis is fat?

Ah so i should add the bevel texture just like the hint?

or should the belev texture take up the brush and the texture should take up just the face?

or it doesnt matter?

And any way. what does these hint and bevel realy do? ppl been talking about them slowing some rps speeds or wat eva and i have no clue what they are. some one help?

Well i realy gotconfused with the sky because there arent any sky that fit my map in the cstrike folder. The ome for vertigo makes it feel like the river is somwhere in the sky, and the rest cities are dark. and i dont want my map to be dark!

all the others are in snow forest or darkness. this was the only one i thought could fit a BIT :lol: .

and yeah im not gona use the dust sky just because ur a fan of gaara :D

Maybe it is. But im shure it will look better when i run hlvis. And you say the texturing is booring? well the maps name is de_urbanbend and its 'suposed to be' somwhere in london. abviously u wont see somthing like country side. itll be all 'urbaned'

u see this method for the river i used witch ppl said was 'unusual'

if ur using steam put the mod in ur steam apps -> halflife folder.
Then it will come up in ur games list.

IF ur not using steam.
place the game in the halflife folder and then there are some ways to do it.

Ither go in halflife and write in the console -game 'the name of the games folder' eg. -game cstrike.

Or. u can copy+paste the hl shortcut on ur desktop, then open its properties and then at the end of its target put a space and write -game 'the name of the games folder' eg. -game cstrike

and it should look like c:/games/halflife -game cstrike Or somthing like that!

thnx. iv done 1 more thing that fixed a well known bad bug :furious:

In some famous maps like dust and dust2 the sky is quite high. if u get too close to the sky witch has another level on the oposit side, you can see the other level or strange stuff. This can be cause by gravity rope hero servers and so on.

Well instead of sky texture i used clip, it doesnt let a person trough. its like a brush u can see trough.

i used it on both sides so the player wont get trough to the little roof or the other side. i also made the little roof there and the building so that i wont see a gap in the map or things like that.

This what i done will prevent strange object apearance behind the sky when using low gravity things/ geting close to the sky!

well im realy not shure about it! because many times iv goten a Virtual memory too low error on smaller maps! so im quite shure i cant do it with vis or over night because of the virtual memory shit :cry: :zonked: :nervous: :tired:
