There's no ambience to it.
Lighting is too bland. If it were my map, I'd make it darker, and add a few spot lights here or there.

Not sure how nice spot lights would look in 1.6, though.

Overall, I just don't think it has any atmosphere.

Well, if i make it completely dark with no light_environmelt it wont work because i make it a day type thing well, thats how it is, and i duno how to make it to look like dawn :x

I reckon it looks great! Maybe add a few puddles in the riverbed and some rubbish. You said it's dried up but with all the rain you've had lately, there's bound to be some water in it.

That's exactly why he never told you to do what you're talking about. Why it is that you think he told you to take the light_environment out, well, that's beyond my comprehension.

I can't give you an accurate effect, but in a light_environment, in the 'pitch' key value type a positive or negative number (no more or less than 90 or -90). Fiddle with this until you get the effect you want.

It aint all about the light_environment. Try some texture lights for the darker areas.
