Anyway, it's hard to spur people into making a 'random' map. It worked a long long time ago with TWHLmix (well it was released), but I believe that was because we still had some dedicated members who have now stopped mapping.

quake 2 looks terrible...it's like they used three textures for the entire game: brown, light brown, and dark brown.

you shouldn't need to rely on vitamins as replacements for actual nutritional food. they are designed to co-operate with your mineral intake, not replace it. if running out of vitamins for a week made you sick, you need to take a look at how you are eating. you should eat red meat 3-4 times a week, fish 2-3 times, vegetables with most nighttime meals. limit your fat and sugar intake, as well as try to avoid artificial stuff because some people are known to have a negative reaction to those kind of things. (apparently, they use the same stuff in red food colouring and rat poison). try going to your doctor and getting a food allergy blood test, you may be feeling sick because you are allergic to some foods and never knew.

You need to buy a LAPTOP HDD, which is different to a regular one. 350GB laptop HDDs don't even exist, I don't think. If they do, they'll either only be 5400RPM and/or cost a ton of cash. If you just want it for regular use a 160GB laptop HDD should be fine, but make sure it's 7200RPM. A laptop HDD is 2.5 inch whereas a regular desktop one is 3.5.

programs you use a lot go on the desktop, and 3 seconds to find a program you only use once a week is nothing. the fact is that you don't need a separate application to do what windows does already.
on a side note: those 'toolbar' things mentioned before that go on the side of the desktop, are ugly and dumb.

i recommend that you learn to write a website by hand if you want to become a web developer, or even just want to make a proper functional website. just because you can use frontpage doesn't mean you're a web developer. (in fact, quite the opposite)
programs such as frontpage (and the 2007 version, expression or something) and dreamweaver make an absolute mess of a website, in appearance and in markup.
a site like TWHL would be impossible in an automated program. ignoring the obvious code side of the site, the markup is well-written, valid XHTML, cross-browser compatible, etc etc. all the html and css is written by hand by ant and myself (mostly ant).
on top of that, you need a well formed website to use code in it. you can't make dynamic-content compatible sites with an automated program. i've coded all of twhl3 from scratch. no automation can be used when programming, and html can be considered programming, so the same holds.
i use notepad++ for all twhl3 work. frames are to be avoided at all costs.
