Start drawing concepts for it and see where it gets you. Don't give up if you get bored of the map, just put it down for a few days and keep going later.

Also, you've got the wrong forum. Half-life or source design questions please, whichever you prefer.

Pop/rock
Charta 77 - Bankr?naren or
Charta 77 - Aldrig f?r sent att

Punk
Goldfinger - Superman or
The Offspring - Americana

Industrial
Nine Inch Nails - March of the Pigs

Trance/eletronic/alternative (It's good, trust me)
Wumpscut - Krieg or
VNV Nation - Electronaut

Overall Metal

in Firefox vs Opera vs IE va whatever else Post #168936
It all comes down to personal preference. Those who like Firefox, use it. Those who like Opera, use it. Those who like internet explorer, learn to like Opera or Firefox.

Saying "Opera has better features than firefox" is pretty lame though, since you can get plugins for whatever you need. Besides, "better" is also a personal preference.

SaltyCrak: Firefox has ChatZilla (even though I don't like it).
Pepper: Use whatever you want, just don't come complaining to us when your computer b0rks up ;) .

Meh, such threads sometimes create quite interesting discussions. More often though, they end up being flamewars between the two (or more) sides. Still, so does most things on TWHL.

It starts getting hard when you have to jump first forward, then turn and jump backwards without touching ground.

habboi: You suck. Besides, I think there's an "Import favorites from internet explorer"-option when you install Firefox. So buh.
Firefox...
  • Is faster
  • More secure,
  • Follows w3c standards
  • Has a huge plugin database
  • Is completely freeware

in Firefox vs Opera vs IE va whatever else Post #168697
pepper, you're a tard. Simply.

Anyway, I prefer Firefox by loads. I really can't see anything better about Opera.
If I would want to chat, e-mail and look up taiwanese recipes of death, I could just do that with some simple firefox plugins. Firefox's alot better than Opera because of it's customizability. I can get it to do whatever I want with the proper plugins - my favorite and mostly-used plugin now being Stumble-Upon. Opera's a great browser though, second on my list.

Using IE when you have the choice not to is like eating feces with beef on the table.

Uh, MSpaint's jpg compression is actually quite good. A 1600x1200 photo turns up 177 kb, compared to a 60-quality Photosohp Jpeg which's 261 kb. The quality is horrifying, but that's a different matter ;)

And no, HL probably can't save jpegs by itself.

I use photoshop 7. PS6 lacks alot of the features I use regularly, so I can't really use it at all. PSCS (8) isn't even worth the download - a few, minor updates since 7.

I see no reason to use gimp since I don't pay for programs anyway.
