-don't make big outdoor maps

-use a lot of textures on each map, to give them variety

Yeah, but lets say there's a person that's good at coding for HL. He's going to be able to adapt to the new Source code then everyone else. Same goes for others. Besides, it's definately not going to be finished anytime soon after HL2's release. And another thing, are you trying to discourage me? Because I don't give up easily. :|

It's a game for the PS2. You don't have to pay for it monthly, you only have to pay for the PS2 hard drive think that's $100 dollars (so if you don't play the game like for a year and a half, it's not really worth it.

do you mean RE Outbreak by RE Online? I have it. I luv being a zombie! I got this from a strategy guide: I stood in front of a doorway when I was a zombie, so I looked normal. One of my teammates came up and asked me if he could get through, then I turned around and bit him and he pushed me away and ran like hell. that was on the first level, so he ran into the zombies that were coming up after us. All the zombies surrounded him and killed him. It was so funny.

sprouty, go to the map vault, download the knives only example map, and examine the RMF for anything that would make it be knives only. Then you could change your gun map for knives only and place the gun under everybody's spawn point, so they pick it up right when they spawn.

I already know how to do it in single player, but say that ppl don't spawn at certain places. I want it so that the HEV suit only appears when a player spawns at that position.

Same thing happened to me with the spiders. Here's some others:

-I got sick for 3 weeks straight. Had to miss school for 2 of the weeks.
-I jumped out of a tree and my foot landed on a piece of glass, it went through my shoe because it was an old shoe.
-I triped and fell into a creek and there was a leech stuck on my shoulder.

So far it looks like I'm the manager, but the site admin might take over later, which would be good because I'd be busy mapping. I started it this early so we can find the people that are good at these skills. We're not going to make the mod the following month after the day HL2 is released, but we'll be working on it then and learning how to use the new tools. It'll probably be up to a couple months after HL2's release that our mod will be finished.

My HL clan and I are going to create a mod for HL2. I'm going to be the mapper for it, and we need some people who can do at least one of the following things:

-Coding

-Modeling (full body or weapons)

-Texturing

-Custom Sound Designing

If anyone is experienced in one of these areas, plz reply! :)

Reno's cliff tutorial is the best one out there. It's so easy to do his way, and the cliffs look really good. I used it on my cliff climb map and my newest map.

Here's what I think of the story so far:

Gordon Freeman, and average man, gets hired at the Black Mesa Research Facility. On one of his early days on the job, he has to put on a HEV suit and put a crystal sample from an alien world. When he puts it into the machine, everything goes wrong an explodes, but he is saved because for a brief moment, he is inside the world Xen. When he comes back all hell has broken loose. He fights his way past the aliens and soldiers while the Gman watches him. Along the way, people are telling him to get to the Lambda Complex, because the science team there can solve the problem. When he finally gets there, he gears up and gets ready to go into Xen, where he needs to kill the leader of the aliens, Nihilanth. He makes his way through Xen and finally gets to Nihilanth. Nihilanth mumbles about what seems to be the Gman before Gordon kills him. When Nihilanth finally dies, Gordon gets transported to a stange series of enviroments that mix Xen and Earth. Gman offers him a job, or a battle he can't win. According to HL2, Gordon accepts and steps into the portal, which leads to HL2...

What Blue Shift tells us about the story:

Next subject of the story, is Barney Calhoun. Barney has to escape the facility, and starts at the same time as Gordon. He finds Dr. Rosenberg, who leads him to a run-down part of the facility. Barney finds out that this was a pre-Lambda section, and the equipment inside it was used to transport HEV scouts to Xen to retrieve samples. The transport machine on Earth was dependent on a machine on Xen, so Barney had to go activate that machine. He did, and when he came back, the machine on Earth needed a new battery, so Barney goes down into the basement to get one. The military are invading the facility as he goes down, and he encounters some of them down there. He gets a battery, sends it up, and goes back up himself. The new battery is installed and the science team that was there all transport to the outside. Barney barely makes it, but when he does, he finds that he's stuck inside a "resonance cascade." He finally gets out and Dr. Rosenberg and the others drive away.

What OP4 tells us about the story:

The military is invading the facility. Now you are one of the soldiers. Corporal Shepard. Shepard and the others don't know what you're supposed to do there, but shortly after the crash, Shepard finds out that you're there to kill everyone, but you have a more important mission: to escape alive! Shortly before Gordon goes to Xen, new, tougher aliens from Xen start appearing. Shepard starts to see that Earth and Xen materials are combining, there is Xen land everywhere. Shepard finally gets to a strange room where you battle a huge alien. When Shepard defeats him, he is transported to the Gman, where he talks to Shepard about sparing him. During the talk, the bomb goes off, and Black Mesa is destroyed. Gman steps into a portal, and Shepard is all alone...

1. I have to go camping on the 3rd to the 5th, so my deadline would be the 2nd.
2. I have to make a map for my HL clan.
3. Sleepng over at my cousin's house so that takes off a day.
