As for animating textures, there is no possible way to control the animation and they can usually only have 10 frames (ie, +0~texturename, +1~texturename, +2~texturename, ect)

They are not customizable and you cannot control them in any way. You can pretend to slow them down by using the same image in duplicate frames so that it uses the same image for longer than one frame, but then you use up twice as many frames doing this.

I will admit, I am loving most parts of this game. Some of the quests are boring run-arounds while others are genuinly entertaining. The whooe aspect of how the game will play out is so gigantic it's hard to fathom when you're trying to decide what to do. So far, I'm playing all the ends against the middle until someone stops being useful to me, then they will be out of the picture.

And they still know how to make the creepy vaults too...

I agree with Grim, emails are not that hard to obtain if you're really after them, the only thing is, we know who that email is, but it's not like we wouldn't anyway if we ere actually looking for it. Bots find our emails all the time, so I wouldn't worry about it at all.

And I was cheezy and sent her a Hallmark ecard, I hope it goes through ok =D

Watch 'Triangle' with Melissa George the other day, not to be confused with 'The Triangle.'

I honestly spent a good hour during the movie trying to figure it out as I watched, which is always fun, trying to guess what's happening and how it's going to end, but much to my dismay, it made absolutely no bloody sense what-so-ever. I was really annoyed at the end of the movie, practically screaming "IT MADE NO F-ING SENSE!!" at my girl.

Good acting, terribly written...

You're using a light_spot? It's much easier to just use a light_environment with exactly the same properties, then it will apply to your entire map.

You can have multiple individually moving or non-moving entities move together, they just have to all have a origin brush attached at the same point of origin, that's all.

It looks like you've got the pitch wrong. Open up the light_environment entity in Hammer and look at the 'pitch' property. You probably want it at -90 if you want it coming straight down.

Can always use all or a part of this for a base. Though its already out there and people can get a head start, considerate like an example.

Also, map from a base with custom content pweeze? I think
I remember that map...wasn't I doing something with it a while ago? I forget.

Anyway, I'd love to do a Map from Layout or a Map from Base competition. I know I wanted the Map a Dream but my idea kinda didn't work out and I couldn't get any of the custom content I needed.

in What's the origin of your username? Post #285738
Well, I've had the nickname Hotdog since I was young, given to me by my Dad and myself because I liked...those things, umm, bread with the sausages in them, and sauce. Hah. Anyway, it kinda stuck as my favorite of nicknames as i have a few, like Tomato, HT, mostly something to do with my name.

When I started going online, it was pretty obvious that hundreds of people would be using the nickname Hotdog, so I modified it with 'hlife_' because it was my favorite game at the time (still is) and much to my surprise, I actually liked it and it stuck. Not only that, but NOBODY has anything even close to it, so my username has been ingrained in the internet as all mine! i may even copyright it, haha

The End

Probably a long shot, but does anyone here know how to code a VGUI interface in the Source Engine? We need one for our new mod. All we need is a basic setup and layout that we can modify as we need. Once it's in, we probably won't need any more assistance for it except for any troubleshooting issues.

That and there are only a minor handful of actual settlements in Antarctica. Most of the rest are Science camps and they have all their goods shipped to them from their respective owner country.

It's not about where you live that decides if you have a local computer store. It's about wether the owner of a computer store/franchise would find it profitable to run one there, or in a nearby town that is more central to smaller towns. It works like a hub. Smaller towns, will generally cluster and rely on a nearby larger town for some goods and services. Those larger towns, generally cluster around a small city, small cities cluster around huge cities, ect. Each time, the hub grows in scale. Therfore, it is generally safe to say that there will be a computer store within X number of miles/kilometers, with the distance reducing on proximity to a larger town/city/capitol.

You're not breaking patient confidentiality if you are the attending doctor and you do not name the person who's images you are showing. While you should get consent, doctors use patient's results for all kinds of things without their permission, like examples for lectures, case studies, ect.

There are many slightly varied meanings for my name Hayden.

Grassy slope, hedged valley, you get the idea.

My last name Walker, is supposedly from an area north of England and south of Scotland. Apparently, I'm decended from a large tribe who lived in that area, surrounded by bogs. One of the most vicious tribes, the romans had great difficulty conquering the area because the tribe would trick them, and trap them in the bogs and slaughter them. I don't know how long this went on for, i don't know much more than that but I'd assume the Romans eventually got the better of them.

I'd really like EA to pull their finger out and develop another kick-ass Need For Speed game like Most Wanted. Most Wanted was the best Need for Speed to date.

I'm with Soup on Tony Hawk, Underground was the best, although I do like the classic modes, so as long as they keep them in like they have I'd be happy.

I'd also like to see the next Unreal.
