Oh yes, it was the backup that failed, wich at that point wasnt copyed yet. So i didnt have a backup from the backup, nor the original files. classic i reckon.

I'm not quite sure Daub. I'd have to look into that.

Hunter, next to the weapons i also lost the crowbar replacement i made for the competition here(thats why it never came in muzz). I lost a couple of planes i was working on for flightsim, some more then 50 hours of work into them...and i lost the Troll-A platform i was working on for FS-ODG.. So yeah, im rather fucked/pissed/etc about it.

War is one of the things that keeps the US running, it is one of the largets exporter and producer of weapons in the world, so its weapon industry has quite some to gain when the US go's to war.

I'm afraid i lost most, if not all of my work. I had no acces to a computer for 3 months, and in the process of installing the new one the drive with the models got fucked up. I also lost the guitar model for the modeling competition....

Well, you should expect a last gen game to work on old hardware. And, it seems that the CPU is also taking a bigger part in how good a game will play, as easily seen in FSX.

Kasperg, it all go's faster nowadays, upgrading to a new GPU every year isnt a bad idea really, i just got a 8800, and its already old, the new 9 cards are coming out soon. Heck, im already thinking about buying a second one.

Now that i have a 8800GTS i demand that every game is only suited for my card or higher. :P :badass: .

Kasperg, it probably takes a whole lot more time to develop the engine to run on server techniques that differ in years. I can imagine it increasing the file size substantial too. And, it is very expensive nowadays to make a title, teams can run up too 150 people and the budgets stretch already that of small to medium films, so they have all the reason to get the game uptodate so it can run for atleast a year. Things change faster then it when HL came out. And remember, they worked a long time on HL2.

in Bridge Collapse in Minneapolis. Post #231243
because I found it quite a coincidence that it happened at the height of rush hour
Actualy, if i would be told to calculate the chances under wich conditions a bridge would collapse then rushour would score pretty high, with badly maintained bridges this is, because there are supposed to be able to stand strong under those conditions.

Is that a PRS Tetsu0?

I got a Paul Reed Smith Soapbar II Maple, a cheapo imitation fender wich i started out with, some sort of old acoustic guitar from HAN(never heard of em) and a Semi acoustic dreadnaught steel string guitar. A simple Silkroad box 25RG amp, a Toneport UX1 connection so i can hook it up to my computer. Then i use the Rippen piano downstairs from time too time. I dont have a camera right now, but il get you guys pics when i get a chance to do so.

in Gay marriage Post #225936
Actualy, gayness is quite natural, most animals are gay and hetro, so its us humans that apprantly cant get around this stuff. Fortunately gay marriage is allowd here, would be a tab bit racist to ban such a thing, since its a thing about love and not about sexuality. And really, gay people can finely raise children, wich are completely straight. Kinda limited thinking in my oppinion.

Offcourse, its obvious that such a thing would never pass in america, since god and the state arent separated, just look at the justice system, they swore on the bible.

ACtualy it is Tetsu0. I have registed a few lan party's for later this year, and all of em recommend to install XP since Vista has serval isseus and it slows down the system.

And ive read a few articles in computer magazines that all come to the same conclusion, Vista DOES make the computer run slower. Yipikajee motherfuckers!

Rim, there also using max for concept art, mainly setting up the scene. And it seems quite natural to use Zbrush 3.0, i mean it has a lot of potential compared to earlier versions.

I collapsed everything before exporting, so i hope that isnt causing a problem.

Rim, i just imported a object, a 3ds file, wich does not contain any materials or bones, only vertexes and faces, but i cant assign any smoothing groups to it, even though it says all of the objects are edit mesh(and i can select the faces). I did UVmap and texture the complete object in G-max, but that shouldnt cause any problems.
