Please someone tell me whats good in that soulless breeze of an engine-sound that european cars have. Thanks.

Now srsly, european cars are the smart choice, if you need a car to cruise around in the city, without having a gas station strapped to your ass. But if I had to choose a sports car, I wouldn't go for a european (or asian). They're simply not as fun to drive.

I love american muscle cars. They're all about pure power, not like the european and japanese fullofelectricgadgedts-cars. And that sound...V8 rocks. Too bad I'll never have a car like that.

I only made it like that, because it's total darkness in our room, my roommate and a friend of his are currently watching sailor moon because of a bet (lulz) and they're doing it in the dark. So I taught that the display is a nice way to add light to the picture. you can't say electronic music sucks
Yes I can, because it's an opinion.

... shared by many, many people.
I agree, that stuff you mostly hear on mtv, radio and in the disco are pure fail. But there are quite a few electronic guys out there, who make quality music, like Fluke, Overseer and Crystal Method. Of course, it acceptable to say, that electronic sucks and you don't like it, but that was my opinion too, until I heard some stuff from these bands.

edit: After watching a Youtube video of Heatray, I can honestly say that it looks nothing like my map and that you are a retard.
I'm terribly sorry, the futuristic, half-ruined city, the neon lights everywhere, newspaper and all kinds of crap piled up on the streets, the angles of the spotlights, the color of the lights and textures, and that cold, abandoned place feeling that Heatray has, doesn't resemble your map in the slightest. I must have my non-existing glasses sticked up your ass, too see some similarity.

Yes, 'cos that card sucks, not to mention, that it's a DX7 card. The Ti series was much better, the Ti 4600 was almost two times faster, than the MX GF4 cards. Even the GeForce 3 Ti 200 was better.

Actually it's a mediocre card from 2005. And it's still able to run new games. Strange huh? Don't underestimate older cards, just because they are old.

in The Orange Box graphics card question Post #237243
No, Ep2 won't work with 64, and it won't work well with 128 either.
Strange, I can play it with my 2,5 year old 9550 128 MB with almost everything on high (shadows on medium of course), with HDR on, and in 800x600 at an average 45-50 fps, 1024x768 at average 35 fps. Sure, you can't say "OMFG120FPSLOL" but it's certainly not lagging. And if you're not in posession of a big-ass 19" monitor, 1024x768 is quite nice. As for the 64 MB Geforce 4 Ti...the raw power of that card is even greater, than the power of my 9550. (old example, but true: 3DMark2001 at 1024x768 - Radeon 9550: ~7200 points, Geforce Ti 4200: ~10000 points)

I don't know about compatibility issues, or how much ep2 supports Dx8 cards, but if it does, it should run at a decent frame rate in 800x600. The new, optimized source engine can run at a decent frame rate even on older cards (thank you Valve) and I'm sick of those people, who urge others to buy the latest goddamned harware.

Yep, if you absolutely need to play every game that comes out, and play them above 1024x768 with all flashy effects turned on, and if you're rich / obsessed / retarded enough to buy a new video card every year (preferably half year), do it.

EDIT: Sorry for the harsh response, but it's just incredible how much the gaming industry tries to contol the gamers.

Thanks for the help, but I eventually found the 5 leaks through the pointfile. But next time I'll do this light-thing, it would be still faster, than following these crazy line drawn by hammer :)

But I have another error...the vis process doesn't wanna run. And I don't have any errors in the map. Nothing. No leak, no brush outside the world, or anything. I just starts the vis process, and wihout any error message, instantly jumps to the rad process.

Uh...maybe I'll try that, if I'll have the nerves for it. Right now, I'm searching this leak (or maybe leaks) for about 2 hours. It's just astounding how useless this poinfile is. I mean, isn't there any other way to find this easier? It's nice, that hammer 3.5 shows this line in 3d, but I just can't make sense of it. I remember, when I mapped for quake 3 (like five years ago) and had a leak, the pointfile was MUCH easier to follow in the 3d view.

Well, I dunno how this works in dell machines, but I have a 512 and a 256 stick in my beast, and it works perfectly. What's really important, is to have sticks running on the same speed (Mhz), and if the manufacturers are the same, that doesn't hurt either. But I guess these problems are out of the question in your situation.
