I'm sure you could use camera's and an animated texture like water...Of course when I say water I mean only as an example of a mutliple moving texture.
Or he could just paste the file in a folder, CS recognises new files and relies on them if a folder contains a new file so in other words, if you add something in a folder, it uses that rather than the file in the GFC.

Use proper speech bubbles and work on your posing: I give it 7/10 also because the posing isn't the best, needs more in depth walls and clipped walls. Yeah and that light really needs a source!
Also just because your using Gmod doesn't mean it is meant to be blocky, take for example your favourite HLcomic site, they use detailed maps, it makes the scene so much more real, so my suggestion is work on a map now with all the scenes you'll need and bump up those graphics to full, not medium...

Pretty good, the positioning is ok in some places, you need to set your jpg quality to 100 though and as he pointed out make the text bigger, try to use real bubbles also, even if it means using Microsoft Word pre-made ones...

Yes Satch, I started when I was 15, mapping seemed hard back then, not so now I think.
Yeah same, only cause I never make complex Valve type maps which is the same as Rabid style maps, he makes HUGe levels, if I did then i'd have to optimize it, hehe got a friend who is a master of optimizing, even Valve ask him for tips which is surprising since they sort of made their Hammer...
Leaks can be a bother but I always keep my maps clean now, I don't rush and make sure every clipped wall is tight and secure, even if the odd mixed textures arise, i'd hide them

Glad you like the .zip idea but I also like the idea of hiding the code in maps, perhaps the end credits, you have to kill 100 enemies that respawn constantly in a black box...Worth a try, Devil May Cry 3 had it.

I just realised! I have this exact same error! But I had it ages ago, like when HL2 first came out, Ant said it was my GFC files and told me how to fix but I said i'm not too bothered because it only does this crashing thing on HL2 editing, try HL2DM and it'll hopefully work like me, HL2DM is no different to HL2 except a few textures...You'll see a few pink squares...

Hunter, you should really improve that level you sent me, it had alright architecture but the entity set-up was very lousy, no offence, door textures mis-aligned etc...

Yeah I must admit, I am determined to finish this map, compo's really help boraden the mind, i'm coming up with ideas I never normally would think of, mainly because i'm trying to impress the judges...

You compiled with HDR on by the way so turn that off and try, I believe this is a bug going around which can't be solved supposedly...

I have a story written out, many custom sounds..and a song.
I'm not sure whether my idea fits the criteria of being a HUB, it is based in a Combine citadel type place with 'things' being moved around like a cargo bay.
It will involve a ride on something and an ending boss + two puzzles.
