SP maps are more enjoyable because you need a bunch of people to play MP maps, therefore it takes much longer to finnaly test it, and there are a whole bunch of MODs.

I know the only map I've put in the map vault was CS but I really want to see more HL maps, they are a lot more fun. :P

To make it in WC would take lots of cuting. It would also take way too long, but you could save it and use it over and over again.

Someone make a whole map of cool wars and boobie traps, or even a mod, then upload it. Its very fun.

Are you using Light_environment?

is it an indoor map or an outdoor map?

I'm too lazy to download it. :)

Just don't use a light_environment entity, use light entities and make them not very bright.

You can't make a perfectly round ball.

Just make something that is kind of like a round ball. It is very hard to do, with the clipping, carving and such. You could make a model with milkshape, then stick it in your game where you want it. Just make a sphere in milkshape.

That would be the logical solution, but is there a place where you can upload your maps that every admin can see. Making maps is pointless if you can't play them with others, (Unless it is 1 player of course).

What is a good website, or what server can I put it on.

also, is there a TWHL server for any MOD? If not, there should be and only the best of the map vault should be there. :)

Ok, I made the screenshot and uploaded my map into the map vault, but it said the screenshot was corupt, probably because it wasn't modified, and I uploaded it as it was. I should cheak that it is JPG.

I need to know how to put it into the mapvault with my map, without adding a whole new map...

Just as good, you can also make boobie traps for scientists like a ceiling with spikes that comes down and smashes them, or a floor that opens and throws them into a pit of burning lava... (So many ideas... must let out... nahh)

16 is the way to go.

If you are getting bored and can't find something to do, just make this level...

You walk down a long hallway and there are big glass widows on either side, spaced out. use the texture WHITE and make a room behind each window. Make a door in the back of each room (or in the ceil). Make a button by each window that opens the door. Put monsters in a room behind the door. Put scientists, barnies, and grunts in each room. Have fun and watch them get slaughtered. It is lots of fun.

THe water is touching another brush, find out wich one, because it is overlapping one, which makes it disappear while in motion.

Hey, its the Brat.

I have just started trying to make a map for CS and have a lot of things I need to work out.

How do I make the map able to run of the new version of counterstrike HL. Whenever I try and run the test map, it goes to the HL 1.0.0.0 version and its like the training map in the first CS.

Also, how do I make the terrorist and CT spawn points, all there is is player start?

Am I doing a big stupid error?

If your map is small, and only small, but a BIIIG hollow cube outside of your map, surrounding it. Texture it with the SKY texture and you'll be fine. I'm lazy and didn't read many of the previous posts here, so if someone already said it, sry. :)

Make the wall a breakable entity and then set the settings to your liking :)

2.
dowload wally if you haven't already and then figure out how to use it.  Make a texture that is your writing and then put the funky blue color around it to make that part invisable.

The error occured when I was running the map when I came to the spot that sould have made me change levels.

It is my own MOD and I was testing it using the custom game feature in HL.

this is verrrrrry bad and has wasted a lot of my time (a week)

I have read the tut and I downloaded the map, Which works by the way, and have used the same basic thing, only with doors at either ends and different textures.
