Don't think it looks all that good really...

Terrain is nice, but the surrounding enviroment is repeating and is using boring bland texturing. Judging from the in-game screenshots.

About pwning you? I still have the unfinished .vmf lying down somewhere. :P

I'm planning on making a HL2 SP map.
Short, but hopefully good.
But I gotta do some tutorials and stuff, because it has been ages ago since I last mapped for HL2, so I would kinda suck in the entity department. :)

I started out mapping with HL2, but I moved back to HL1 simply because i'm more of the MP mapping and HL2 lacks (in my opinion that is..) good MP mods. Waiting for TF2. :)

in Gay marriage Post #225955
Actualy, gayness is quite natural, most animals are gay and hetro, so its us humans that apprantly cant get around this stuff. Fortunately gay marriage is allowd here, would be a tab bit racist to ban such a thing, since its a thing about love and not about sexuality. And really, gay people can finely raise children, wich are completely straight. Kinda limited thinking in my oppinion.
Aye, The Netherlands ftw. :)

Fuck this, all kids need a mother and father figure - I know what its like to be brought up without having your own father around, and believe me it fucks you up.
So having a dad and fucking dad wont do a kid any good - it's a complete mess.
I know what it's without a father, even tho I do have a father, he's hardly home. We hardly ever speak with each other, even tho we live in the same home. I won't go into details, because that's very personal, but I feel like saying that that statement of yours Jahzel, is bullshit.

My mother was the one generally raising me, and even tho it hurts missing my dad at important achievements, I think i've turned out just fine.

After 4 long posts I was done, but when you're pro-gay marriage you generaly got the same points as the rest of the pro-gay marriage ppl, and the same goes when you're against it.

I'm pro-gay marriage, gays are generally people just like me and you, they just have a different sex preferment. What they do in their bedrooms is none of my business. ;)

If 2 people love each other, why couldn't they marry each other then? Seriously, live and let live.

in new maps released Post #225645
Those are great ideas, why not pursue them?

Start by writing down those ideas, draw some sketches, do some research (google images, play other peoples maps based on temples etc), get some matching and fitting textures and then start experementing a bit in Hammer, without having a actuall map in thought.

When you actually think you've succeeded at making that temple look, then, and only then you start drawing a layout and actually work on the map.

Take your time, and something really nice might actually come out. Good luck!!

I'm to inspirationless and to talentless, and on top of that, i'm really lazy, so yeh, no mods from me. I'm still working on finishing a map..

I still have the skill level I had 1-2 years ago, cuz' I lost interest in mapping and haven't mapped much since tbh.

A joke isn't bad (even this not-funny one), but most people here respond to much to it, and thus, nobody talks about the actuall subject anymore.

You stupid fucking pro-gun toting Americans. How fucking retarded are you? Never mind the fact that your death toll as a result of a firearm is absolutely, mind-blowingly high. Never mind the fact that every other country who has outlawed the right to own and bear arms has considerably lower gun-related deaths than you
As harsh as this sounds, I couldn't agree more.
You should also take notice that the fact that those weapons are available plays a big part when these people plan out their crimes. I keep hearing that they would get weapons from somewhere else, but maybe they would just act in a completely different way if they knew getting and using firearms was a more difficult task. It makes you think
Agreed.

Personally I think gun control should be forbidden to the normal crowd, guns bring nothing more than sadness and chaos. A normal American civilian has a gun to protect himself against crime and against the goverment when it turns into a dictatorship right? Kinda ironic isn't it, that guns are forbidden at schools when someone not obeying the rules can still get into school with a gun and shoot people, and nobody can shoot that person to end the chaos, because normal students obey the rules (like it should anyway). And you can't change this rule either, because if everyone takes a gun to school, bitch fights will turn into frag fests. :P
We have the world's most powerful, and stable, government system.
I lol'd.
And, yes, thanks to us at least Iraq is currently seeing a little stabilization
I lol'd again.
Well, there was one in Germany (not 100% sure though, might've been Holland) a few years ago. But other than that, I don't think I've heard of any outside the States.
I remember a 14-year old moslim kid killed his teacher because his teacher punished him for not obeying a school rule. This happened with a knife tho, this kid was also instantly mastered after this.

Stop being a bunch of crybabies.
Rowley was a nice guy, but heh, people come and leave.

Every community has 'rotten apples', on internet and in real life. Whining about this isn't going to help a single bit.

You shouldn't take internet to seriously anyway.
You won't face people from the internet in real life.
..so who cares what they think.
