But their horrible voices are just killer (in the bad sense).
I kinda liked 'em. When I started playing HL, I stopped often to hear wtf they are talking about :)

Shephard and the guys with him on that chopper didn't get a briefing. So it's totally logical, that he - and a few other grunts - don't know what to do: to kick some scientist balls.

It's another question, that how in the fuck did SO many soldiers survive without a briefing...in fact almost all of them (in OP4)

When they leave you behind (missing in action), it makes also sense, that the soldiers don't give a fuck about the previous orders anymore, because they want to survive, and that's a bit easier if they cooperate with the scientists and guards, instead of killing them. I agree, that it's not the same, as in HL - because in HL, eaven after they pull out, the remaining soldiers still want to rip you're asshole inside out.

Hmmm...interesting read, but I believe, that there is some kind of purpose in our universe, and that you can not define everything with just simple physics. I've experienced such things in my life - that you may find stupid and easy to explain - where I thought, that there is something out there, something helped me...what can be God, or maybe just an unknown function of our brain. Situatuions like: I wanted to meet someone, talk with him or her urgently, and I couldn't reach the person (because he/her didn't had a cell phone or for some other reason) and then, I just accidentally met this person, in some place, where I never thoght to meet him/her. Or I was supposed to be at two different places at the same time, and just before, I got a phone call, or some kind of message, that one of them is cancelled, or just delayed to another date. And these things only happen, when I have no solution to the problem.

As I said, you may find this primitive, but this is what I personally believe.

I tried to reinstall HL2DM, also tried with updating, but nothing works. How can I fix this? thnx

in Tree model problem Post #171793
Hi! I have this problem with HL since I reinstalled it and it's really freaking me out, coz I'll need to use a few tree models in my next map(well, more like movie)
So, the problem is:
I put a tree model in the map, wich has leaves on it...these leaves are made like those masked textures (render mode: solid, render amount: 255). As I know, they should work properly without any further tweaking, but they don't. The leaves' surrounding is still blue, no matter what I tell the editor to do. I had this problem with the old install of HL, but it suddenly dissapeared, but now it dosen't want to.
So, my question is: What kind of patch or thing should I apply for HL to make it work properly?? I've already installed the newest patch I could find, but it still dosen't work.

Please help me, this thing is starting to bug me out...
