Remove all the temp files from your maps directory except your .rmf.
Openup that rmf in Hammer, save it, and export to Map. Now recompile.

Be sure to run vis and rad though.

Temp files are files created during compile duch as:

.max
.rmx
.p0
.p1
.p2
.03
.pts
.prt
.wic
.log

Just remove all of them except your rmf.

An enemy barney. He attacks other barney's, sci's and the player when he sees them, and other barney's attack him too. So freakin' hilarious: To barney's go berserk on eachother! Teh funny.

Actually, the sdk consist of all the source code files which can be compiled into dll files (hl.dll, client.dll) No exe files are being created.

To compile the SDK, you need a C++ compiler, since the SDK is written in C++. Example C++ compiler are, Borland, an Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0. Last one is probably the best choice, but it isn't free. Borland is.

Yeah, i tend to do that, but i also want the light to match its original. I may add some spotlights to light things up, so that some area still appear dark-ish. I don't know really.

This area is still WIP, im not satisfied with the lighting. Gotta love its atmosphere (HL feeling)!

Hey, i just figured out something new:

Lets say that you have two or more entities/brushes on exact same spot in a map. You know that it is hard to select either one of them, because they are on the same spot. Now i figured something out:

Move and hold your mouse cursor on the two entities/brushes in the 3D window, and hold the right mouse button. Hammer now cycles through all the available selections which are currently behind your mouse cursor. Just let go of the right mouse button when Hammer selects the required entity/brush.

Remember: everything currenty behind your mouse cursor will be included in the selection cycle.

I believe there's a maximum of 255 characters per game_text. Also, if you make you lines too long, the game could crash. Use the /n or n to make a new line. It works like this:

Hello, im the first line.nIm the second line.

Which creates:

Hello, im the first line.
Im the second line.

You only need to figure out whether its n or /n.
