Error: Exceeded MAX_LEAF_FACES
Description: This error is almost always caused by an invalid brush, by having huge rooms, or scaling a texture down to extremely small values (between -1 and 1)
Howto Fix: Find the invalid brush. Any imported prefabs, carved brushes, or vertex manipulated brushes should be suspect
Read the log before you post it.

It's normally to do with bad filenames, that kinda stuff. It's not a map error, it's a configuration error of some kind.

No Firefox vs. Opera zealocy here. Firefox should be decent too, but I know that Opera runs well on low-spec. machines, and 38 complained of Firefox being slow.

Nice floor texture. The trim is nice. The walls and ceiling are terrible.

1.

User posted image

Pointless dark corridor. Nice staircase; good banisters.

2.

User posted image

Terrible face splitting there, making the lighting jagged. The best thing to do in this instance would probably be to move that wall a tiny bit away from the staircase. Alternatively, you could tie the entire staircase to a func_wall, but that might be a bad idea with such a large piece of architecture.

3.

User posted image

Ceiling's a let-down again here. The walls lack any detail.

4.

User posted image

Much better. Feels a lot like a car park under here. Better ceiling, too.

5.

User posted image

Weird lighting on the strange box thing around the map. I'd suggest you use sky instead. Look at the Environment tutorial. That building with the glass is rather nice, but the bushes are a bit square.

6.

User posted image

Nice, but you can fall off the edge of the map!

7.

The textures on the bottom of that look nasty. Rotate them using Texture Application mode. If you don't know how, read the tutorial on it.

I prefer Opera. You might want to give that a try; the only argument people have against it is its ads, but I can get them hidden if you decide you like it. It's renowned for working on low-spec. machines, too. Try it.

That'd be cool :).

It wouldn't be hard, but it'd be unfair really. I don't want to turn TWHL into an advertising zone; I couldn't turn other people away with other projects, and there are a lot of them.

Y'll'ave to wait for a project page m'afraid.

You could have "offering good gameplay" if you prefer :).

I'd be happy to have a look at the site. PM me when you make changes, yeah? :)

M'afraid I can't offer anything special advertising-wise, but I do intend to add something like a "current member projects" section, in the near future: somewhere where people on major projects can advertise to a degree. Keep an eye out. "When?", you say? When I feel like doing some coding and have a spare day to add stuff.

Anyway, remember to PM me when you want a check-over :). I speak a little (I do mean a little, generally) French too, so that might come in handy if there're bits I can't understand in English.

128MiB RAM on XP? That's a serious problem. No point in trying anything before you upgrade that ? to at least 512MiB. I'm pretty sure Microsoft specify 256MiB for XP itself, let alone Hammer 4.

-chart goes in the compile parameters. I imagine you need to add it to the end of each compile tool seperately if you want it from all of them.
