In a sad way, that made me feel utterly useless...but alas, farewell, enjoy your life, and do as much as you can with it.

What is involved in getting a server monitor going? We need to have monitors for both this and muzzys server somewhere clearly visible, so it is fairly easy to see when they are up and down.

Even though it doesn't show up on the list, it is there, you just have to add the IP. I'm not sure why it doesn't show up though...

No seventh, I meant internal. When I host my garrysmod server and give people the IP, it is 172.27.1.5:27015 (my computers IP on the internal network) and it works. When I forward the ports, I open the port on an IP in the internal network.

It is the internal IP, but this works the same for my listen server on this computer. I give the internal IP of the computer, followed by the port, and it works. I have checked over the forwarding numerous times and I am pretty damn sure that isn't it.

Yes, I finally have it built and everything. As we speak, I am downloading all of the CSS and HL2DM content, then I am going to load it down with as much of our custom maps as possible. While we wait, suggest your map for the server, so its less work for me to find all the maps to put on it. Once I get everything forwarded, and such, I'll put up the IP. For the first while, it won't be 24/7, until I can get everything perfect, find some great admins, and get a fair amount of scripts installed on it.

PS: the server is up and running (most of the time) at 207.188.161.22:27015!

Sweet muzzy. If you can keep this server up as regularly as often, you can host the HL1 mods and I can get my server up to host just HL2 mods.

Half of you probably have completley forgotten about that TWHL server that I proposed some...11 months ago? Well, it isn't NOT going to happen, I am still working on it, I have gotten a step closer and finally figured out how to forward my ports ( I have 2 routers, so it makes it slightly complicated ). Hopefully with Christmas earnings and extra spending money, I can get it. I know all of the parts that I am going to get, here is some shit off the top of my head:

ASUS Motherboard
Dual Xeons ( might get Athlons instead )
DSL 1.54 ( that is download speed, I'm pretty sure upload is about 768 )

Please don't suggest getting a faster connection. I want T1, but that isn't going to happen.

I recorded myself singing random lyrics, and it turns out

"And we are marching down the road in a wagon, and we dont want the dark wagon indians to take dark wagon"

sounds like

"Those girls just dont wanna do it"

Shocking discovery, eh?

It would be pretty neat to have a journal commenting feature. Pretty much a little button under each journal post that allows you to post a comment regarding entries. It would be far better than people filling up the journal entry list with comments about other peoples journal posts.

I was browsing around and I came around this neat little thing called Frapper which allows you to post your location on a little map, to let the other members see where you are. Pretty nifty little thing, kinda neat seeing where everyone is.
http://www.risingconcepts.com/frapper/twhl to post your location.
Its done by zipcode, so its not going to show people exactly where you live or anything :P

I already have some pretty nice MIDI compatible software, along with 3 years of experience on the keyboard, and now im looking to create my own music. I was wondering what you guys thought might be the best way to go about doing this, an actual, physical synthesizer or a keyboard. I was looking in to some keyboards with some pretty decent specs, and was wondering if anybody had any specific suggestions. So far I am pretty intrested in http://www.alesis.com/product.php?id=12 but I want to know if anyone has some equipment suggestions or ideas as to how to go about doing it.

I am not looking to create music note by note on the computer, and I am mainly looking to create techno/dance music.
