That link will take you to a scriped sequence tutorial, and the retinal scanners are under prefabs. Under Random Stuff, I think??

killer, set up an aiscripted event to use that animation, and set the target to the door, and as far as the scanner itself goes, give it a name, but not a target. Without a target, it will always return access denied. If you put the aiscripted entity where the scanner is, Barney will walk over to the scanner and APPEAR to be using it, but in all reality he will just be triggering an event. I don't know how to make the animation for the scanner trigger though. Anybody else know?

Hey chicken_man, your email was acting up, so I've uploaded the map I have to the vault. See what you can do with it, or add to it. There are leaks, I covered them with a skybox b/c I never could find where they were coming from, tried pointfile and fullbright, but the fullbright area showed a spot that I had already filled in, so idk. Anyways, the directory structure for the Containment and valve folders are correct, the valve folder contains a model you'll need. Just extract those two to the Half-Life folder. The other stuff is the Hammer files, just stick those in your maps folder, or wherever you keep your maps.

Ok, here's my problem. In my map, there's a fire alarm in an office, just for kicks. You break the glass, it triggers a multimanager that runs all the stuff for the alarm. There's another button that deactivates the alarm I want it so that will only work when the alarm is on, so I've used a multisource to try to accomplish that. The button turns the alarm off no problem, but the thing is is that it's still working just like a regular button, i.e. it can turn the alarm on if it's off. I've mastered the button to the multisource, but it didn't fix the problem. Help!

Ok, lemme rephrase here. After looking around, my project falls more under the definition of a map rather than a mod. So, yea, just wanted to clear that up.

Ok guys, I've played HL for years, had the HL:Uplink and CS pack-in disk with an ATI card, that got me hooked. Just recently got back into it. I've decided to make a mod. The story, which just popped into my head literally now, is that you're a scientist in charge of the data operations department; you basically keep the computer systems running all over the facility. While called to a problem somewhere around the administration levels, you come across some rather shady corporate information. This mod will be set about a year or so before the Black Mesa Incident. GMan or whomever would then try to eliminate you, and you have to escape the facility alive in order to warn the public, or die trying. This mod (hopefully) will use familiar areas of Black Mesa, and even all-new ones, possibly exposing some more secrets, and more of the facility (like where's the main front door?? lol.)Anyways, I can handle mapping somewhat. Still fairly new, but I seem to have picked up on it pretty quick. Have a two room map so far, an office and a security anteroom. Anyone, coders, mappers, artists, even story authors are more than welcome to help, and rest assured I will gladly do my share of the load.
