thx Jonrezz, it turns out mine was called '3D textured polygons', right in the veiw menu, right under my nose lol. (and no gargantua i dont have double monitors, but it sound like a pretty cool idea )

I think something is wrong with my camera mode(camera view) in worldcraft. In the tutorials its shows your map how it would look in the game with textures and all, but all i see is the geometric shapes without any textures on them (so i cant really see some problems, for example on the second tutorial when it explains carving and tells you to take a look in camera veiw and you'll not be able to see thorugh your hallway, i cant see any textures so dont really know whats a wall and whats hollow...)
i guess its sort of like having the top, side, and front veiw all put to together in 3D
any ideas?????
