Hi i was just wondering if when i make a func_traincontroller does it follow the func_train (im makin a controllable train that follows a track).
More info
I have:
1 func_train
1 func_traincontroller
and a couple of path_traintrack.

what is the difference? and i dont know cuz i usaly map for cs
when i go into the game in the list of games its not there

I have used a info_player_start and i have used some monsters can that be the problem?

Hi im kind of a noob at mapping and i had a really irretatin experience.

I had been mapping for 2 months and then i axidently deleted it :zonked: :furious:

So tell everyone about your irretatin experiences.

btw do you thing that 2 months is a lot on a map like estate?

I get an error when i try compiling it

"Error creating batch script

i fixed the error but is there eny way to get the bsp to automaticly get in the real folder??

but i diddent use a valve.wad i used the halflife.wad and thats where the error came form and if i need to copy that to the other folder i wud need a res for the peeps that downloads it right?

cant i just include the wad in the bsp??

HI guy so here is my prob i play cs and i have made a map with the halflife.wad from another folder that is valve/valve/halflife.wad the thing is that all my other wads are in the valve/cstrike folder and when ever i add a texture from the halflife.wad and i open the map in cs i get an error saying

"critical error valv.wad"

and this is because the wad and i have fixed it before but i dont remmember how so if some one know how to fix this error plz reply :)

the dual core is 2 ghz each but if u plus em u get 4ghz and i wud change to xp if xp cud use all my ram 4gig i think it only can use about 3 gig

Hey i have this 3 month old computer and i get this problem every time i have many programs opem (hammer, a movie and some other programs).

Blue screen

"your system has halted"

I run a vista 32bit ultimate on a 4 gig ram, 4gig dual core, geforce 8600m gt with 512mb, 120 gig hdd 7200 rmp computer.

i figured some of u cud help me.

I have this problem when i set tank/gun and start shooting with it the bullets come from about 3 feet right and goes straigt forward like it should, but the prob it that i whant the freakin bullets to come from the freakin canon plz help :biggrin: :biggrin:

dam i found out if i put the train speed down to 200 it will hit me if i stand still but if i run i go right thro it

nope that doesn't do it.
can it be something with the speed of the trains?? (they are at at 400 units per second)

ok thanks i got it to work i found out the problems

the crash part was because i had deleted the hlvis part of the bat to only make it detect eny bad surfice extents

and the origin was the problem

i made a map where teh beam goes thro a brush and the game crashes when i enable it

and then i made another map not going thro a brush but i cant see the brush i only see a little dot

then i made a map where the beam does not move ant it works perfectly

how the can i make a working/viseble and moving beam and yes i did every thing in the tut

Hey i was thinking about lasers

i know its possible to make one side to move like showed in the tut, but is it possible to make a laser that moves om the both sides?
