we just typed in amx_map map1 ( i didnt change the name yet) and when it should change the server freezes and it wont go to my map...ays something like Warning: Connection lost or something

Ok ive been working on a map for my clan for the past 2 months...just tryed playing it on the server (checking for lag) and the server just freezes.....now have i just waisted 2 months or is there a way to fix this?

ok but how do i find where the problem is? and how do u fix it i dont get it, when a floor isnt square enough?? u can make a floor not square with vertex manipuliation...so ummmmmmm little more help would be great..

Ok my first problem happend durring compile:

Problem at portal between leaves 588 and 590:

How do i fix this because when i go in game the lighting is double what it should be everywhere...blinding.

My second problem is i made my own .wad it was just a logo for my clan and i put the decal on a wall in hammer then when i go in game its not there. I put the .wad in my valve folder and evey folder in steam but it stil doesnt show up....its now my spray though lol but i need it to show up on the wall.

well i dont have a very good vid card.....ATI radeon 9200 i have 512 mbs of ram and those are the only 2 problems i can see. and When it asked what my vid setting were i put direct 3d...my OS is windows XP. what other setting do u need

ya i used Nems for mine too....really good program but a little "to" good for use in Hammer lol maybe there are some other engines out there better suited for it.

check the problems maps section i made almost the same thing...a canyon had like 5,000 vertices and lagged like hell. And if u get a leak in there good luck trying to find it.

another question concerning elevators...i made some doors there not actually attatched u just open them then walk into elevator. Ok so what i want is that when the elevator goes down the doors on the button will automatically open when it stops and the same comming back up how would this be accomplished?

ok i made (tryed atleast) an elevator..now there are no doors but i made a little control panel on the inside that is supposed to make the elevator go up and down....its a func_button and i assigned it to the path_corner for the elevator. But when i go in game and click on it nothing hapens so what am i doing wrong

i just noticed something....counterstrike doesnt have any default glass textures. I cant find ANY .wads that have glass in them can someone plz give me the name(s) or .wads that have glass in them like the clear kind.

ok i just tryed compiling a map i made and it says i have a leak..so ok i to the pointfile thing but when it comes through to the inside of the level its going through a solid brush, not on or near a crack for joint between two brushes. So i just layed a flat block over it and the leak went away..BUT there was no leak ever there so what has just happend

dude if ur trying to make CS maps do not use any steam related directories it will not work just use ur CS 1.5 folders to compile and build the maps u can still play the maps in 1.6 but u dont need them set in the config or build windows.
