Me and some friends are working on a SWAT mod, like rainbow six.
We've set up the mod but still need one SWAT playermodel for MP, and a Terrorist playermodel for MP..
And for SP, we need just the same things, but not for player.
Weapons? Well, right now I'm trying to make the SDK weapons work (MP5 and shotgun)
So, that's not really a big problem, I'll work that out.

But, the rainbow six models will overwrite the old citizen models!
So the SWAT models needs all of the animations as the npc_citizen got.

And for the terrorists, will overwrite the combine model (needs same animation names)

The combine sounds will be renamed and edited and will overwrite the citizen sounds, and the citizen sounds will overwrite the combine sounds..
I'll take care of that...

About the mod, anyway:
Not much new C++ coding, we'll just overwrite stuff with new stuff.
The trick with hostage situations will be easy made in hammer, with an ai relationship targeted to all of the npc_combine, with the subjekt (name of hostage)

/ is the only modeling program for HL2 "XSI"? :S

That program just got to many buttons,, I can't find anything.. >_<
And it's too hard to use.

Er... no. Gmax, a similar product, is, though. Don't know how good it is.

Well... Easy??? No...
But it is more easy (to me) than to make it in XSI... If you have some skills with the program, everything that you want will be easy...

But if you to need, in the HL SDK exist a tutorial about modeling in MAX... And you can google too... hehe :D

Aha,, well, when I started with modeling,, I was using XSI, and even if I read 100 tutorials I didn't know how to make anything.. =/

So you can model for both HL and HL2 in Max? :S

I posted this to try again..
The whole preject has ben stoped because we don't got modelers or coders..
Coders - A few things to fix, like, new weapons ( mp5, sniper, shotgun, hand-gun, blah blah blah... I don't know how many new weapons yet, but that's a start), also, we might need to change the AI, so they can surrender, and you can put handcufs on them..

-Modelers Still the same thing, changing the citizen models into Swat models, and changing the combine models into,, uhh.. terrorists? O.o (duh)

Maby some more mappers.
