Well, in another thread I was asked to give these textures (as seen in the first pic)and well here you go:

To use just copy into an existing wad file, name it, and resave the wad file.

I assume the bottom portion is used on an additive func_illusionary box of 1 unit thickness like NS light overlays?

Rabid, you can see it in the screenshot ;).

That screenshot would look so much better with a glow sprite on the light.

Old is really getting tiredsom, I know the whol fading texture thing is old.
But I made a spotlight, using them, with 3 func_pendulums, of course it's old.. It's Half-Life... think about it.. god.

One comment from me, I think the beams should fade sooner. The edges visibly meet the circle there, and the sharpness of the beams with the soft circles looks a little strange. Then again, did you only elevate Gordon for the screenshot?

There we have it again: The typical TWHL-thread.
A rather uninteresting topic, followed by a load of quite useless replies and some sporadic attempts at calming the situation down.

I might sound like a whining crabber, but maybe some of you understand what I mean.

You can't teach everybody to only post topics and replies of public utility, but you can force yourself not to reply in an equally mediocre manner. If you think that a post is useless, simply ignore it, or try to explain in detail and as comprehensible as possible, why you think it useless.
That way, we might be able to avoid those riots of asininity, ignorance and insularity.
