huh, your not trying to run it in NT, but in XP?

if you can't that means its an old game, It gives you a 16bit OS error or the like. I have that same problem to. you need to read this

Update everything, and have a search yourself instead of trying to get other people to do it for you.

I may be wrong, but I don't think you can play Win 98 games on NT.

Highlander, Compatability Mode doesn't to ANYTHING except fake the OS build numbers and strings, and disable various parts of the OS such as theming and true-color. Put it this way: Windows 2000 > Windows XP.

Windows NT was one of the most horrible operating systems ever made. It would be better to just switch to 98, 2000 or XP. Or if youre feeling up to it, install Linux ;)

m0p, m0p, m0p, you clearly have not spent much time one windows 2000 machines. my school was built with it and its not anywhere near as good as XP.

XP is based on NT. I hope everyone knows this...

M_gargantua, unless I am using Linux, I use Windows 2000. I've used XP in the past, it may be more cuddly and userfriendly, but 2000 is the superior operating system to XP since it's built for production use, not home use.

problem with DOSbox is that you cant save false merged directories so you have to type in about 10 lines of DOScode before you can run the game, and even then it's extremely limited.

Rabid, that file you sent me accaully cleared up a huge majority of the problems I was having running my old games on XP. it seems to me that Microsoft 'forgot' to add the file to the XP install disks.

ill send it to you BaR-2.

whats your email?
