FileExt knows nothing of it. Try opening it in notepad.

Sounds like a deadly file to me, those .wav references can't be good... ;)

Where did you get this file from then? And do you know what sort of file it is? Is it some sort of savegame format from a certain game or such?

Did you get it from a game?
Games could use their own format as Captain P said.
For example, .wad? :D

I reckon it's some kind of engine-specific archive.

I've got it from X-men Legends 2 sound files, first I thought they were some sort of compressed folder but as you can see the codes ,I dont know how to open it and get the soundfiles from in it :(

And I really need a 3-2 sound from it!help!

Tried opening it in WinZIP, WinRAR, etc.?

Posted 19 years ago2005-10-16 10:14:36 UTC Post #141828
yes, winzip and winrar cannot identify the file type,so it cannot open it :(
Posted 19 years ago2005-10-16 10:20:49 UTC Post #141831
Then it's compressed in some strange way and will probably need some kind of decompiler.

No, but it's the same damn question
Posted 19 years ago2005-10-16 15:39:20 UTC Post #141882
Agreed.
Posted 19 years ago2005-10-16 15:39:29 UTC Post #141883
how big are the files? several megs? several hundred kb? if so, they may not be compressed, I'm guessing that the data after the "xxx.wav" is just a number, followed by an uncompressed wav file.

Try a X-men Legends 2 related site perhaps? I don't think this is getting you any further...

You really are stupid aren't you?

stop typing in caps, makes you look even more retarded. the question remains the same, only the file extensions have changed. therefore, use this thread.

Nobody knows how to open either of them. Wait and see, or research, or try and figure it out yourself.
