In HL2 when you destroy an APC or Dropship container, the gibs break off on fire, but it uses a different type of fire effect, not the animated sprite but one made if many sprites that grow and rotate (like the steam effect). I am trying to reproduce this flame effect in a HL2 map and a CS:S map if possible. Does anyone know how to make it? Is it a particle script, is it possible to do it through brush entities... etc. I personally like this effect better than the standard fire and would much like to use it in my maps, especially one of the CS:S maps im currently working on. Ta for any help!
