I just got rim's hl2 textures for hl1 (they're flipping awesome)
And when i want to do the -wadinclude halflife2

The compiler gives me an error at the end of the compile :

** Executing...
** Command: -wadinclude
** Parameters: halflife2
  • Could not execute the command:
-wadinclude halflife2
  • Windows gave the error message:
"Access is denied."
So... this means that the wad ISNT with the .bsp??

And also, does it only include the textures i used or does it include all of them?

(Rimrooks textures are 62mb ZIPPED)

BTW...

Aye, it means it didn't wadinclude properly. Check to make sure the file isn't read-only, and that Windows can access the file (put it in half-lifevalve).

Also, yes, it only includes used textures.

What are you doing? "-wadinclude" isn't a program, it's a parameter which you should pass to hlbsp!

When did anybody say anything about it being a program?

q[** Executing...
** Command: -wadinclude
** Parameters: halflife2]q

Should be:

** Executing...
** Command: hlbsp
** Parameters: -wadinclude C:SierraHalf-Lifevalvehalflife2.wad

Works on BSP too? Shared parameter then I guess? I always use it on CSG... :)

No, its a CSG parameter. My bad. :)

Me uses it on the CSG, workie ok...

Rabid: Matters not what directory you put it in, as long as it's specified correctly. Mine:

$path$file -estimate -wadinclude "c:program filesvalve hammer editortexturesdm_lars.wad"

Works like a champion!

oh you have to put it in the csg??

see i set it as its own compile instruction

now do i need to specify the filepath or if i just have the file in the valve holder will it work?

EDIT

Re-compiled and it works now.
So you DONT need to specify the filepath, only if its not in the valve folder i presume.

Thanks a bunch guys
