It crept up on me, and with so much work up to then, I didn't have time do anything... or maybe the illusion of nothing happening was the April Fool's, and something really did happen?

Gamedev.net had a good one, too. The whole site front had the appearance of Flipcode, another (now dead) big game development community site. Fun stuff.

Ha that sounds like a good one...Last year the pcsx2 team pretended the project had died but if you saved the image and brightened it up in Photoshop you could see a tiny message saying only joking.
Ironic that yesterday it worked so either this is a late joke yet again or this is for real! It had better not be cause they promised an update today...

The Chicago Trubune always makes some funnies on it, putting fake news on the front page. I believe about 6 years ago they had Micheal Jordon, a picture of him in another jersy, playing for another team. That was too much!

Google started "Google romance". They had the same crap the other sites had saying "Post up a picture and find your perfect match". and then there were testimonials at the bottom of the page with people saying how they liked it, and got married, blah blah. It was funny =)
