OK well I think i might enter the HL-DM area and because I am new I have absolutely no idea how to do it. So if anyone has instructions and/or somewhere for someone with a 33k connection speed (damn phone company!) please post

If you're on WON, start HL, then click Multiplayer -> Internet Games -> Update. Double-click on a server. Easy

erm, you have to go to filter. are running game and select there hafl-life, you might also wanna chek have people cuncurently playing on.
and you have always won, i comes standard with hl so just do it on this way

I did...changed the connection speed to 33k...and nothing came up. Too bad for me right?

My dial-up connection takes 10minutes to scan through all of the cs games! Broadband takes 10 seconds!

Not that many HLDM internet servers around, let alone on WON. They've mostly moved to Steam I think.

mainly. and the records say the servers for hl tfc dod and cs are 30% less then before. and thats not only because of steam, hl is dying, the world is ready for hl2

Luckily I'm atleast 55k which, to be honest, although it sounds badand everything, I really dont have a problem playing HLDM and stuff online. I dont even get much lag 
Although the only downside about it is not being able to be arsed to wait for mod downloads to finish. I really wish I had Wasteland HL (the Wastes)....
