well, I only get 50-60 FPS in Half-Life 1 which really sucks, and as soon as I go to record the video, the fps drop down to 2. Once I upgrade my PC, it'll be a hell of alot better.. but until then.

BTW, blood idea soons cool, never thought of that. :D

I get 60fps in HL1, and when i record: 40-60 using Fraps

env_mirror causes quite alot of lag when ive tried it

it does'nt cause much lag for me when using it. But I've only tried it on a small scale. :

ah. Maybe thats where I went wrong. 1 sec.. I'll retry it.

Edit:
Nope, still automatically dropped to 2 fps. This time I also closed any programs that take up memory. But no luck.

What's up with the pre-beta Hostage Situation download on your site, Hunter? I never saw anything about a public release of any kind being out yet, although I could have just missed it (and I'm not going through 61 pages of posts to find it.) The ModDB page says that it's still in internal alpha, although that could be outdated...

begin what? I need the end of the last chapter, and beginning of the next chapter that includes the info_lndmark, and changetarget entities so I can begin.

This way will make it alot easier for the future. I'll be able to -wadinclude my maps and compile them, then send the bsps and rmfs to you, and the transition should work. :)

Chapter 3 begins at the entrance of the facility, Chapter 1 ends in the city.
You just have to map the ride to the facility sequence. Try working on it, don't worry much about connection to the other chapters, that'll be done in the end..

The last pic looks the best, although it's still kind of messy (put something better on top of those chainlink fences, will you?) 1, 2, and 3 are way too boxy, and the first uses only one texture for the architecture of the room, which makes it look flat. In 2 and 3, something like raised metal walkways might look better than the concrete floor.

Well, that's the undetailed version, so the wpolies 're around 600 @ the top of the chimney.

And I'm planning ~1300 at the top, with the cliffs, surrounding buildings and detail added.
