I'd recommend the MX510 or the MX518, Orph. They are both fine mice, and the MX510 can be had for quite cheap at the moment as far as I know. MX500 can be bought very cheap too, though it's pretty hard to find I've heard.

use the flash or a tripod. or just set it atop a book and use the 10 second delay.
those are standard on most cameras today
